Honestly, we had the one with the hammock and I thought it was great...until DS was actually born. He hated it and screamed the entire time! He wasn't immersed enough so we took the hammock out but the bath itself was still quite shallow. We gave the whole thing to the op shop and just used our bath instead.
I can understand how doing this would be harder if you happened to have a CS, would your laundry trough be suffice? I've heard of lots of people using theirs as baby's bath!
