Tummy Tub- do you need the stand?

    Hi Sammiejane,

My husband has found the Tummy tub on the net, and he's really keen to get one. No-one seems to be selling them second hand :-(

Do you think the stand for it would be helpful, (althoug it's $90!) or are you happy to bathe your little girl with the TT directly on the floor?

    Thanks

fingerscrossed, we bath directly on the floor - i sit with the tub between my legs so that i am nice and close to her.
She now sits in it unaided, but when she was younger i needed to hold her head up a bit so need to be really close (now we just play )
If you can justify the stand go for it, but we decided against it and i dont regret it.

I tried finding 2nd hand tummy tubs but they sell for close to retail, thats why we ended up getting one new.

Honestly it is one of the best purchases we made

Sammiejane thanks for that opinion, my mother in law offered to buy us one as a gift but when we went to the shop, the saleslady was a bit negative and put us off at the time for a bit, although she wasn't speaking from experience, she just said that none of her customers had bought one so she hadn't had any feedback. I am still keen when thinking of the idea - after your positive experience I might tell my mother in law to go ahead as she was quite keen in the first place! Good point about occasional baths with dad to get used to more water.

(sorry for the thread hijack - it's been interesting reading though!)
