I used an Amby hammock and it was an absolute lifesaver! My DS1 would not sleep anywhere but in my arms during the day for the first 10 weeks of his life, he loved being held and jiggled around. We bought a hammock and the first time I put him in it for a nap he slept for 2 hours! I didn't know what to do with myself .

I tried it for DS2, but he didn't take to it at all . He ended up sleeping pretty well in his cot though.

I used it for DD's day naps too and she slept much longer in it than in her cot. So all in all it was a winner for us
