I use the zoo pillow. It is nice and firm (I feed with BOTH hands free) and is also handy for teaching them to sit later on... the cover comes off to wash easily also.
When I was at home and my hands needed a break I just used a simple boomerang pillow.
Personally, I wouldn't spend a fortune - you may not even need it at all. It is really good to learn to feed without one - cause they are not exactly easy to take out and about with you
JMO!
Snacks, did you find the boomerang pillow comfortable enough? I have a bad back and worry about doing more damage.
I got "the milk bar" breast feeding pillow. It has a slant on it as well which is supposed to help with avoiding reflux. Its also nice and firm. I have really big boobs so figured I am going to beed as much help as i can get.
Yes, but I don't have back troubles. Y'know, you may be best off talking to your physio/chiro about it?
The worry about bf pillows is that it can sometimes create more problems because if it is the wrong height then you can hurt your back because you're leaning over too much and also bubs attachment may not be quite right... I wonder if you are better off just trying to do without and seeing how you go? Particularly in the early days when bub is really light. You will need to have him/her chest to chest to get your attachment right anyway (so you'd need a really high pillow).
Another way around a problem back might be to learn to feed lying down?
i also have the 'milk bar' pillow (i think it might be from the fertile mind company...) got it online...has been awesome and used it right up until DD weaned at 17 months...ITH
