    Bugaboo Cameleon

I was all set to get the Bugaboo bee, then I showed it to DH. He wasn't a fan! He thought the Cameleon looked sturdier for a newborn and more comfortable to get them to sleep. I also realised that I'm having bubba in November and the coccoon may not be a good idea to use as it looks quite thick, this was what I was planning to use for the bee for a newborn.

Anyway, I'm a little bit scared of the cameleon. The two part system to pull it apart, how it will fit in my boot. Will I be able to get it up and down quickly? I use my car a fair amount but also walk to my local shops as well. I will have two kids in the back so the whole pram will have to fit in the boot, will this be OK?

Do you like your cameleon or regret buying it? I see so many of them around and am wondering how they really are. I think it looks very comfortable for bubs. I put my 4 year old in there and he liked it lol.

I also can't decide on the colour! DH likes the sand colour. I'm thinking pink for girl or sand for boy but then it is annoying that you can't choose black for the base?

    Thanks sooooo much for replying

The bassinet attachment is quite large so it would depend how big your boot is. I know it didn't fit in mine along with the frame (Toyota Yaris) but did once we moved onto the stroller type seat. Could you ask the store you are thinking of purchasing it at to let you trial the floor model for size with your car? I know where I went offered that.

I just love my chameleon and have no regrets. The badinette is a bit bulky so try it first. Having said that, I had a little hatch back and it fit ok, but once you change over to the seat, at about 3 months, it fits much easier. I swore at it the first time I tried to open it myself, but once I was shown how to do it, I never looked back. Using it again now for the second time round and I still love it. Happy to answer any more questions!!

I love mine! It fits in my astra hatch boot, both seat and bassinet.

I have the limited edition all black one, including black frame instead of silver, which I love as I haven't see anyone with one yet!

I'm so glad to hear you like yours. I think because of the price I was worried I wouldn't be happy with it.

Another one who loves her bug here. I understand your concerns with the two parts... I also worried about it before hand, but in use found it quite handy. We kept ours in the car (it did take up most of the boot though ) and I loved that I could pop DS into the bassinet/seat straight away and then unfold the frame (which is easy when you get the hang of it), then I'd just connect the seat/bassinet with him in it. I'd imagine it could be a bit of a juggwit trying to unfold a peice pram while holding bubs and whatever else you have with you. The only time I could see it being a pain is if you were catching the bus or something and needed to fold it up to get on.

    I love bugaboo all together!!
I have a cameleon the RED denim black frame edition and it's crazy!!
It's not hard to maneuver and extremely light weight too
Once you get the hang of the folding you will wiz straight through it hands down.
I have a Mazda 3 hatch and it fits fine.
As for the colours you can mix them up constantly but again it's pricey..
I love the bee too it's such a snazzy peice of work lol!
And trust me this is my fourth pram for DD I had an I candy. Peg perego, normal cameleon with silver frame and now this ltd edition one, funny I was joking with DH yesterday we should buy a bee for his car lol

sorry but the two piece fold for the cameleon did my head in. It was just too much work. It was fantastic for newborn period, I loved the bassinet, but when my son was about 12 months I had just had enough of wrestling it in and out of the car and traded it in for a bee. I know what you mean about the season though- I liked the cameleon bassient cos it was nice and cool and not all fleece etc (october baby here). Good luck with your decision. On the upside if you do buy a cam and regret it, then they have great resale value.

I have read that you can fit a quinny dreami bassinet to the bee with car seat adatptors but not sure if this is true. I was planning to look into it someday...
