Pip grew out of it by about 3months. Prior to that it was great, but its very small. Personally I'd get a bigger bath for longetivity.

It was great for about 10 weeks then DD grew too big -she was 3.75 kg when born so maybe if you have smaller baby it will last a bit longer. Mine was in such perfect condition that we have leant it to a friend. The sling was very handy though because newborns are so delicate and slippery - well that's what you think when you're holding them!!!
We looked at it but ended up getting one that has a moulded insert in it - one that is on a lean for newborns and then a space to sit up for toddlers! It is great and we still use it all the time now! From memory it was around $40 at Kmart.
We found it really good. That hammock thing was so handy.
We used it for about 6 months before transferring DD to the big bath.
We bought one as we thought it looked great! However, Oscar grew out of it by 12 weeks as it wasn't long enough. On hot days we get it out and Oscar sits in it and has a splash but it definatley wasn't worth the money we spent on it for the amount of time it has been used.
I have one and have also ended up with a bath-in-a-change table thing so i'm not sure how useful it will be. I haven't used it yet
After bathing Alex at the hospital i think it's probably a bit impractical size-wise (and as the other mums have said, looks like they'll grow out of it pretty quick) - but it's probable good for when you start out because at least if they have a strop you have the hammock there!
Personally, i now think i wouldn't have bought it (and ive only bathed DS three times) because as long as your confident with your baby you really wont need the hammock! Just my personal opinion though!
Good luck!
Thank you so much every one. I do think bub may grow out of it eventually, and probably a lot sooner than they claim on the packaging, but im okay with that. Baths are cheap and if need be we can just get a bigger one that will last. But its something we will do when the time comes.
We bathed DD in the hammock once. She screamed the whole time. So we took the hammock off and we sit her in the seat and support her neck/head and she prefers that much better. The hammock would have been useful had DD liked it but maybe she got cold lying in it.
