I'm a firm believer of to each his own. Personally? No chance in hell I'd put my babies in one.
My MIL is a paediatric physio, so she gets to deal with the ones that don't have the fantastic experiences mentioned in previous posts. Sure, it's highly unlike and very rare, but to me it's just not worth the risk. Same with the little chair walkers. She said those two are the biggest cause of child injuries that she has to treat (at least the biggest cause for children not suffering some other form of issue such as hip displasia or something arising from cerebral palsy and the likes)
And yes. Short periods only and constant adjustment to make sure it still is set up right for your growing baby. Too high or low can add undue strain.
