We used a musical mobile for our middle child... he really liked it... but my 3rd child wasn't convinced... infact I think he hated it and destroyed it as soon as he was mobile. But for $18 I would give it a go... goodluck!

Give it a go - ours projects stars and moons and things on the ceiling and plays music, so pretty much the same thing but yeah, its also a mobile, and she finds it fun to play with. For $18, you might as wel give it a try hey!

We use one for Bailey and he loves it, I think it was from Big W for about $15 - it projects teddy bears with stars and moons on the ceiling and has a few tunes - we play the "Lullaby and Goodnight" tune and by the time it finishes (you can choose 5 or 10 mins) he is usually always asleep, its great when he awakens as we generally play it and he resettles himself. If I am rocking him to sleep in my arms and hum the same tune he drifts off as well. I would definately recommend them

We have one for N, Grandpa bought it for her for Christmas, it has a slot we can put three different "cards" in for different projections, also you can adjust the time and volume - very very handy Goes up to 20 minutes, we don't put it on every sleep, and not always at night, depending on how sleepy she is.

I did take it to Melbourne and to the Gold Coast, so that she had something familiar, while sleeping in portacots, think it made a big difference then as well.

Also good for if they wake up for a middle of the night play.... press the buttong and start it going, might hypnotise her into sleep

Thanks all! I ended up getting one, and she loves it although she doesn't realise what it is supposed to do. I try to get her to look at the images but she won't. However she does think it's a laugh carrying it around like a little briefcase!

I got one of the Fisher Price Precious Planet ones. It projects onto an umbrella thing initially and then you can remove the umbrella so it projects onto the wall. My DS loves it. Problem I find, if it turns of (it turns off automatically after 20 mins) he cries until I turn it back on!
I think its great and keeps him well entertained!
