Looking for a 4 wheeled pram...i think...are Bertini any good? Other options?

I love our 3 wheeler. I don't think stability is a problem at all. You steer them totally different to a 4 wheeler and you get used to the balancing points very quickly. I go up and down gutters and stairs and go cross country in parks all the time and have never had it tip over.

I also have a Bertini pram which is the first one I bought. It is a great pram but it is heavy and bulky and takes up the whole boot of the car which is why I ended up buying the more compact folding and lighter 3 wheeler.
It's called a bidwell and is totally different to the one they sell now.

I live in the country and friends who live on farms have tended towards the emmajalunga and/or the mountain buggy. I guess what I would do would buy a second hand Emmajalunga and a smaller more compact one for the car/town.
Not sure if a 4 wheel stroller would suit your needs for town? I love my Maclaran Vogue. Still 8.5kg but has larger wheels and easy to fold and doesn't take up the whole boot. It also depends what you want the pram for in town, is it browsing shopping or supermarket. As you may use a trolley too.
You could buy a carrier as well. I also adore my Pikkolo and I made myself a HAB for the early days. 5m jersey material cut about 50cm wide. I didn't cut it or anything or bother with the pocket as I mainly wore this around the house. I was give a BB which was awful. It was the old style and so uncomfortable once bub was 5kg.

Good luck deciding it is hard becuase there is so much out there. You can get some bargains second hand, a friend picked up her emma for under $100 to be used at the family farm.

I lived in a country two when my first 2 where babies & I tried a heap of prams and ended up spending the $$ on an emmaljunga and definatley worth the money. The good thing with them also is a toddler seat can be added if you have 2 close together in age.

I have a Bertini Bidwell and it is great over rough terrain. Yes it is old and heavy ,but the new Bertini's are quite light. I think they are worth every penny, although I did buy mine 2nd hand.

i had a bertini bidwell to start with but was unable to lift it after dd was born by c section . very heavy , but could fit in in most cars with the wheels being removed . Very sturdy and pushed wheel , but it felt like u had it loaded up before you put the child in , does that make sence to others ?

i brought a Childcare Hola - four wheeler - penumantic (sp?) pump up wheels on rear and reasonable size wheels on the front . i have found this to be reasonably good over paddocks and excellent over grass ie parks , i have a large yard , paddocks .

i have been looking at the Steelcraft strider 4 take 2 for a friend - but i am not sure what there like over rough surfaces . but an alt to what i have if u need a toddler seat .

I too was looking at the Bertini X4 pram as it did everything i wanted & i loved the large wheels on it. When DH looked at it he commented on how bulky they seemed & that the steering might become an issue. I still loved it though.

We ended up going with the new Valco Rebel I.Q that has just come out on the market. The wheels are solid rubber intsead of pneumatic so no risk of punctures. The front whells are slightly smaller than the back wheels but still a good size. It was also very easy to steer & reasonably light too.

I'm also in a country town & did a lot of research on prams. Good luck with your search.
