I have a wool one too, from Nature Baby NZ. Worth the extra money in my opinion, healthier and breathable. We have had plenty of times when there have been accidents and never once has anything got through the wool!

Tarkaine
I got a two pack from target - they are quilted mattress protectors that are cotton- The twin pack was about $35 ON SALE- get two if you can so that one in the wash and one on the bed at all times- makes a huge difference to the state of your mattress! Best and less also have a cotton one available as well - they were cheaper again!
Plus the covers are soo much better than the plastic side of the matress as well as they are softer and more comfy!
Definately get one
odette
Just putting it out there Holly, Si started rolling back to tummy at 2 weeks. So while I would be surprised if mattress protectors were a danger, it's best not to make sweeping statements - every baby is different.
i'm with Odette - as much as i haven't used them yet, my intention is to get the quilted cotton ones from Target - they have the under sheet ones, but also one that goes over your sheet to protect the sheets as well... i've got them on my "must get" list...

Girls seriously there is no need to be so nasty! I think the heat must be getting to everyone... but to quote Tom Cruise... can you put your manners back in... please! And I don't mean that badly at all... just to clarify![]()
i have to agree with you Hollye...if your bub does start to roll early on..yeah for sure get a monitor BUT if you wrap your bub to sleep very very unlikely they are going to roll...NOT once has Jack been able to roll when he is wrapped.
no nastiness herei do agree tho.. i think the heat is getting to everyone. How long does these heat last for again? like march.. april??????? argh!
at the end of the day, Mattress protectors are safe.
holly remember not everyone can afford to get the monitors with the sensor pads!
