Nappy Bag - which one?!

Hi Taurean, I loove your taste! Just looked up the bags in qu on Ebay, they all look great. Stylish and practical.

Have you bought a pram yet? If you have can you take the dimensions of the handle/basket to check out the bags? See if they would fit easily over the handle bars or into the basket? OR even better would be if your baby store that you bought your pram at has those bags in stock then you could see what looks/works best.

I have just bought my pram (Joolz Bloom) and I looking around at suitable bags now.

I've already considered all the things you've mentioned and practicality is far more important than looks but these bags seem to offer both so I'm happy to spend the $$.

I think I'll just have to pick out one of each brand and try them on the pram (have done so with a couple of bags already but thanks for the good tip again Rommy!). I want a black bag that looks more like a handbag and my pram is black and stone coloured so black will match the pram and hopefully my wardrobe. It seems like a practical colour choice anyway.

I've found some of the bags come with just one bottle warmer/cooler - is that enough?

I noticed that the Isoki bags come with removable compartments which seems like a good idea as you can pop them in the pram if you need to put extra stuff in the bag. They are reversible too so kind of two bags in one I guess!

The Oi Oi's are very stylish though. I love the Messenger bags.

OK, after all my rambling I've realised it will be best to grab one of each bag and try them out with the pram. They all have similar features so I don't think I can go too far wrong. Thanks for your help again!

Hi Taurean, Not sure about the bottle warmer thingos. Are you planning on bottle feeding? If not then one will be fine and you will only need it later on for sippy cups etc. My DS was fully tube fed and so I carted around EBM for him for 12 months. Didnt need more than one insulated thingo, you really only need more than one if you are going out all day. I wouldnt make a baby bag choice based on that.

Black is a great way to go. I have a kingfisher blue and black pram so black is prob what I will go too.

I plan on breast feeding so yeah, one warmer should be enough. Not to mention when I need it for formula, I'll probably make it up on the go (ie formula in a container then mix with the bottle of water when I need it) so one will be plenty. Good point!

I've had another look and I'm really liking the Isoki Hobo bags now. I don't like too many compartments in a bag as I never end up using them or I lose stuff so having a removable storage section for bub's stuf sounds like a great idea. The bag looks so much like a normal handbag too and being reversible, you do really get 2 bags for the price of one!

I have an oioi Hobo bag. It's fab. I have the giraffe print though. Big enough for cloth nappies, three comparments on the sides, extra mat, botthe warmer, wipes container and little bag

I've to an OiOi hobo and haven't yet had a chance to use it properly (it's packed up as my labor bag at the moment). I bought it because like you I wanted to be able to use my nappy bag as a handbag and also have something that was semi-stylish. I ended up spending a bit more than originally planned and going for a leather one, cos I figure I will use the bag for other things when its life as a nappy bag is over.

I wouldn't worry about only having the one bottle warmer. If you need an extra one or two you can always buy them seperately.

For those of you who are interested, I've narrowed it down to three bags. Woohoo!!

I've done quite a bit of research and looked at many nappy bags both online and in the shops and these are the three I like (all in black):

Kapoochi Vintage Hobo
Kapoochi Vintage Tote
Storksak Emily

I still love the OiOis but have found the three above have all the features I'm after, they look like handbags more than nappy bags are are all within my price range (up to $200). Why did I go off the Isoki's? I was surprised at how big and heavy they are in real life! They are gorgeous bags, don't get me wrong, but twice as big as what I wanted and they really are quite weighty - and that's with nothing in them! I really want a bag that really doubles as a handbag and the Isokis were far too big for that.

Any opinions / feedback on these three bags I'm tossing up between would be great!
