I have both a diaper bag thats neutral looking (no ducks etc, but not stylish) and an over the shoulder purse/bag thats big enough to fit a few diapers, wipes and snacks. I use the diaper bag for longer outings and toss my things in the side pockets, and I use the purse for quicker trips. I never carry two bags. Often I leave the diaper bag in the car when I carry the purse since it always contains extra clothes. My MIL just got me this great hobo bag that I'm going to start using to replace both. It is both stylish and functional.
