New Strider Plus

MellyW, I find the Strider Plus (4 wheels) great for walking. It goes well over grass, uneven footpaths, etc. Bit tricky on soft sand, but I don't go walking on sand much! I find it works well with walking. I'm not a jogger myself so have never jogged with it, although DH seems to enjoy doing bursts of jogs when we go for walks and it seems fine then.

Thanks Eluned! I am still undecided but am leaning towards the Strider Plus 3 wheeler. Concerned though about the weight/width - how do you find it?

I didnt know it came in a 3 wheel version?
I love my strider plus!! I love that bubs can face me and DS likes sitting underneath, he thinks its special lol. I so far havent had any trouble taking it walking, though I havent tried it on the sand (I would think it was to heavy).

The Strider Plus with 3 wheels comes out in April I think.

Melly, width is good, fits through doorways and checkouts no probs. The pram itself is no heavier but with my toddler and newborn it does feel heavier to push especially up hills! But in the shops on a smooth floor it's not that bad at all.

Thanks Eluned! Fitting through doorways, checkouts etc was a concern. Lots of friends are recommending Phil and Teds which I guess may be a little lighter but then you miss out on bubs facing you. Agh decisions!

The Strider plus is alot cheaper than the Phil and teds and it comes with all the accessories.

I thought you couldnt have the main seat facing in to you with the second seat in use unless it is the capsule?

I have my toddler in the top like normal and baby in the bottom

Melly - we were looking at the Phil and teds, but i was never sold on it - one of the main reasons i didn't like it was that it seemed awkard to get the newborn in, and then when you had it in toddler-toddler mode, if the toddler on top got out, you would have to move the one from the bottom seat to the top or else it seemed really tippy - whereas, with the strider, DD has sat in the bottom seat, with nothing in the top seat, and its absolutely fine.

Eluned - quick q - when you the main seat on the most reclined setting, is yours completly flat? My seat doesn't seem to go flat - its still at an angle, roughly the same as a capsule angle would be, so its still ok for a newborn, but its not completly flat, iykwim.

We've managed to get ours on the beach, but DH had to drag it backwards through the soft sand, mind you even with my previous 3 wheeler jogger, it was extremely hard to get it through the soft sand.
