Pram Help???? 3 Wheelers vs 4 wheelers??

    Hi all,
I was just wanting some advice on 3 wheeler prams, I've previously had a 4 wheeler mothers choice and a 4 wheeler bertini pram. I found them to be excellent prams but bulky and heavy to lift. Both had the big wheels and seemed to be more suitable to a toddler.

I'm looking at purchusing baby co's 3 wheeler swallow beema Q this time and just wanted to know what you thought about 3 wheelers.

    Thanks,

    Kelly

I like 3 wheelers but am more inclined to look at getting a 4 wheeler this time (if I need to get another pram, which I don't really). Something with Big wheels. I think 3 wheelers are more bulky then a pram needs to be. they are usually wider to balance them out so they don't tip.
I do find that they are good on rough paths etc but a lge wheel 4 wheel pram would be just as good & probably more stable. I have tipped the 3 wheeler more then once. Its not a nice feeling!

I didn't like my 3 wheeler at all! We live in a hilly place and it would tip over so easily every time we went out for a walk around the block. It was also very awkward to get on and off the train (that I catch every day)... and my son hated riding in it as he felt exposed and not as snug as his first pram (a 4 wheeler)... and he hated that his feet slid off the tiny bit of triangular plastic that was meant to the footrest. My wrists got very tired and sore trying to keep it steady every time we left a perfectly flat surface so the "ease factor" was false. Maybe it would have worked if we never used it outside of shopping centres. So I ditched the plasticy heap of rubbish and spent a bit more on a decent 4 wheeler pram. (piccy's in gallery). And we all love it.

    I have both a 3 wheeler & a 4 wheeler pram.
My 3 wheeler is a Phil & Teds Sport & I love it, it's never tipped, even at the easter show when we had heaps of showbags hanging off my mummy hook on the handle & my daughter wasn't in the pram! It's light & manouvers fantasticly.
My 4 wheeler is an Emmaljunga (similar to bathshebas) & I love that one for different reasons. The big wheels means it moves well over rough ground, I call it my 4WD pram LOL, it's big & comfy for the baby & has great suspension. To top it off it looks fantastic!
To be honest, I prefer my Emmaljunga for newborn while using the bassinette attatchment & the P&T's for toddler & up. The main reason being is the convenience of the P&T. It's so light, folds so small (compared to most & takes up a fraction of the space in my boot the Emmaljunga does) & it's so easy to push & manouver.

I know I was no help at all I'm sorry. I have heard great things about the Swallow Beema Q range though, that would have been my 2nd choice 3 wheeler after my P&T's.

Good luck choosing, it's a big decision

I am loving my Beema Q. HAve used it for walks into town and back (about a km or so each way) and it goes really well. We are in the country and although it is flat there are some gravel paths. Is quite easy to maneuver too. I love the bassinet attachment, is great for shopping, I load the bottom end and underneath. I can fit so much in it.

I have a 4 wheeler, but, the only 3 wheeler i have heard possitive things about is the phil and ted sport's and the mountain buggy ones.

my cousin has the Beema Q and it sometimes tips a bit if her son gets a bit jumpy as all toddlers do.

    hope this helps.
