Thanks ladies, when I first arranged it like this it "felt right" uncluttered considering what is actually in there, the flow felt good. I just keep looking at it and feel like I need to do something.
There will eventually be stuff in the huge gaps between the ceiling and the teddy border but not until bubbie comes.
I said to DH this morning that I am feeling restless and like I need to fix something or rearrange something. I am restraining from buying anything baby as DH doesn't want me to until we get past 25 weeks seriously I don't think I will last the next 6 weeks
I could wash my MCN's but then I will need to do that later on before bub arrives
If that pic is looking in from the doorway, I would personally have the cot where the bed is and the bed where the cot is. I (still) find myself liking the fact that I can check up on Harry just by looking in from the doorway rather than having to walk over to the cot and look in (if that makes sense?)

I tried the cot where the bed is but the length of it starts covering the window if I run it the same way, hmmmm I wonder how it would look if I did it diagonally NOW there is an idea.
Only bugger about the bed side is it is on two external walls and there is no insulation in the walls, but then we don't get the draft coming from under the door.... ahhhhh tooooo many things to work out.

My only qu would be where are you going to BF? Sitting on a bed is not going to work well I wouldnt think - it takes so long to BF a little one that you need a good upright chair. Is there one in the room? or are you going to go out of the room to BF?
I have noooo idea where I a going to BF. Thats why I was thinking I should get a nursing chair. The bed was more so if for some reason I needed to sleep in the room - can't imagine why but you never know. If bub was restless and DH needed to sleep then I could comfort bub and sleep in the room too.
I am trying to work out if I have room to add a nursing chair in there, I could move the toy box and put one at the foot of the cot, there is a power point there so for a light or something its a good spot.
I reckon though no matter what I think now, it will be completely different when bubbie comes. PLUS the bed is a childs bed so for later on its one less thing we need to worry about.
I would go for moving the toy box out then and putting in a good chair. Or you might want to disasemble the bed and store it away - co-sleeping in with DH might be more what you do anyway.
You will need a chair with arms, reasonably straight back and not too high off the ground.
We used our nursing chair for cuddling DS to sleep when he was smaller, BF (not much as tube fed) and now it is the chair next to his bed for storytime. We did storytime from birth anyway.
I am doing up old furniture for this baby now and have just bought great, matching, 1960's arm chairs that I will restore and have one each for this bub and DS. I am also restoring a dressing table which is nearly done! Yay.

Slightly off topic but regarding where to BF, we had our rocking chair in the nursery, but after we brought bubs home we moved it into the lounge room, as you spend so much time feeding, its nice to be able to pop the telly on sometimes, or be in the same room as DH so you can chat etc, so maybe look to set up a 'feeding' spot in your living area. Also, have a little table or basket next to it with a drink for you, tissues, TV remotes, nail clippers/file, dummie and any baby wind medication you might use, also baby nail clippers as best to cut their nails when they are sleeping or feeding and nice and still. Our Rocking chair (which is where I feed) was one of our best purchases as I always settle Bailey to sleep by rocking him if he wont settle by himself
