I agree.. go for it! I have more for Keira now than i did with Jesse. She has wall plaques and a mat and curtains and matching bedding.. i didnt really have any of that for jesse.. he has more now.. but yeh i say why not!
I think I might go for it. Dh is happy to let me do whatever but Im a save $$ if I can person so everything will be bought on sale lol
I just think it would make me feel better about this preg. I have all boys so last preg I didnt buy anything bar one or two little outfits as I had 'everything' so to speak. I think its made my preg a bit more unexciting because I cant go shop for clothes and things. But he's the last one so why the heck not, I can sell/give it all away once he's grown.
If he had been she this would be a moot point cause I would have decorated like Martha Stewart possessed me for sure
I did it. I never got around to doing up Nina's room when she was a baby, so I've made the effort with Emily. Now both girls have their rooms set up nicely.
I'm expecting my first and i'm going to decorate our little baby's room for sure.
We are renting so we can't paint or put holes in the walls. We also can't change any light fittings or curtains (his room has grey vertical blinds) etc.
But i found some really cool websites that sell nice removable stickers for the walls. I just made a purchase about an hour ago. My order is a range of different jungle animals and some leaves, plants etc - they're so cute! These removable stickers are great if you like to change the room around regularly as they can be re-stuck or just take them down once you're sick of them or the child grows out of them.
We're on a tight budget now (the minute after i splurged on those stickers) so i've been trying to think of some cheap options for decorating. My mum knitted all these cute colourful little teddies for the baby. I am going to take some cute arty photo's of them, some colour and some black and white and then put the printed photo's in some cheap wooden frames (3m hooks).
This should all make his room much more inviting and colourful. It's just white & grey at the moment.
I think it's the best and fun thing to do in the last few weeks of being pregnant.
omg jellybean - ours is the same! Boring ol` rental that you cant do much with. Grey vertical blinds, cream/white walls, white wardrobe and windows and grey carpet - plain glass light fitting.
And all DS furniture is unstained pine ikea - soooo blahh. I like colour. I`d love to be able to add more fun to his room.
I really hope we can have our own place in a year or so and do up kids rooms. And then have #3 and do all the stuff I didnt get to do this time
