I have a Strider Plus, which up until recently has been great. It is 18ish months old so outside of warranty and it is starting to fall apart on me. Some of the material on the top seat is tearing along a couple of seams and the basket has a little damage from rubbing on one wheel.
The other issue is that the weight limit for the top seat is 17kgs and the bottom seat is 15kg. If we replace the top seat it would make more sense for us to get the capsule/basinette attachment for the new baby and put DS in the bottom. But he is almost 15kgs now. The new baby could go in the bottom seat as it reclines but not really ideal and not recomended by the manufacturer.
So what would you do? Would you bother chasing up parts and getting prices? Or save and buy a new pram that is more suitable?
It would be annoying to have to replace this pram as we sold our Bugaboo and bought this one and a second seat so when we had another baby we would have a pram that would carry both. Now its looking like Ill have to get a new one anyway. And this time I wont get anywhere near what I paid for it as it is damaged.
ETA- has anyone replaced either the main seat or the basket and able to tell how much it cost?
