Looked at the brochure for this one...due in the shops mid November. Costs around $830 all up and is very WIDE but otherwise looks good!
Has anyone had a look at this pram? Looks to be a promising alternative to the Phil and Teds - with a reclining second seat and the ability to have a newborn facing mum! Betcha it costs a bomb tho! There are lots of videos and pics on the website - links via britax or striderplus dot com dot au

I love this pram. We have a strider 3 and i wish that this pram was around when we were buying ours as depending on when we get pregnant we may need to buy a double pram. I love the strider so much and was at a loss as to what pram i would buy after having my gorgeous strider but now i know!!
The strider is wide but it has never really caused me an issue. You get used to it.
I was looking at this pram in the Mother and Baby mag, looks awesome! Love the colours too
We've been considering the Phil & Teds but now that this one is coming out, I'm definitely going to have to check it out. It looks great! I have a Strider 4 and I love it, so hopefully the Plus is going to be just as good if not better.
I really want one of these !! our bub is due in Feb and we were tossing up between the strider 3 or 4 but now we are gonna get this one, as plannign another bub within 2 years.. hopefully the fertility gods will help us out !!
Anyone seen one in action yet? My local baby store is getting them in in a couple of weeks. Very keen to see and play with one. I like how you can have baby facing you which you can't do with the P&T.
I asked at our local Babies Galore yesterday - they have the demo model...but aren't allowed to show it yetIt should be released at the end of the month! The sales ladies comment was that it was very wide - but so is the regular strider?
I dont think they are actually released until the end of this month - but Ive been stalking all the baby stores trying to find one *giggle*
Doesnt the Kingfisher colour look awesome !
I've got the Strider4 CF and haven't had any probs with the wideness of the wheels, still fits through checkouts and doorways. Will be interesting to see if the Plus is any wider.
I think if this were my first baby, I'd probably buy the Strider Plus but it's my second and I've just bought the Adventure Buggy with a reclining toddler seat. The second seat faces me and the normal pram seat faces away.
Either child can go in either seat so this gives me the option of having the baby fully reclined and facing me if he's fussy that way, or if he's not he can go in the normal part of the pram and my daughter can sit facing me so we can chat.
With the Strider Plus, I could only have my daughter facing me, but not the baby, when there's two in the pram because the second seat has to be fully reclined when the normal seat is facing me (or with the bassinet or infant carrier on), and I doubt a 2 yr old would stand for being fully reclined. It would be fine for twins though! Much more manageable than a side-by-side pram.
*Edit - I'd buy it if this was my first baby because it seems to have all the features I'd want, but with my daughter I could not put her in a pram facing away from me without her getting really upset until she was over 12 months, so I know this time to ensure that I have a pram where the baby can be facing me - which the Strider Plus won't be suitable for with both seats on

After you mentioned the strider last night, you got me surfing the net this morning and now my decision to stick with a single and a sling is wavering! lol! Maybe if Dan gets his surboard for xmas, I could get him to agree to this one!
Can't wait for them to come into the shops so i can go have a play - looks better than the P&T!
I had a look at this pram in baby bunting on the weekend. I was convinced that it was what I wanted until I saw the size of it. It seems HUGE. Now I am not so sure.
I'm expecting my first baby in March, and we would like to have our second one not to far apart, so I thought this would be ideal.
Previously we were pretty much set on the strider dlx, but that has been discontinued for this model. It's not that much bigger than the dlx (2cm wider and around 5cm or so longer), but it looks much bigger.
Choosing a pram has been our biggest dilemma so far, as we have no experience out and about with a pram, so we are not sure what is best. We love the idea of the bassinette and car seat, and how easily everything works on the strider plus.
Any advise would be appreciated.
I bought the Strider Plus on the weekend and thinks it's fantastic. Putting it against my strider 4 there is no difference in width and fits through all the same doors. I think it is a fraction longer when the second seat is on. I love how the shopping basket has zips at the front and sides so u can get into the basket easily. It comes with all the accessories including accessory bag with drink holder, boot cover, rain and sun covers, all which the Phil & Teds does not plus it is about $200 cheaper.
I think the bassinet and car seat are a waste of money. I can see where the attraction is, but a good pram will fully recline so you don't need the bassinet and as for not disturbing the baby whilst taking them out of the car- in my experience, my daughter slept even as I took her out of the car. In reality you would only use these things for a copule of months. Then you need to consider storage of these things once you have finished using them.
I loved the travel system part of my pram (the car seat part) (I currently have a Steelcraft Cruiser) definitely not a wate of money for me - I still use it at 5 months and even tho I have only used the bassinette a dozen times or so - it was soooo handy and saved taking a big port-a-cot. (I have mainly used it for sleeping overnight when we went away/out late to friends.
i looked at it and its not pratical for us i found it too bulky
