Thanks eluned!
Hi All I have just purchased the new Strider Plus and although I love mine even if it has been sent back as I got a faulty one, if you have not purchased one yet and not in a hurry please wait and have a look at the new Jogger City Select I just has a look and boy is it nice, not sure of the price but not a bulky as the Strider Plus but does the same thing this is going to give steelcraft a real competion when it comes out in Feb/March 2010.
Have a look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4czQ5Fxr51k
If it does not work just copy and paste and seach it, well worth the effort
Sleepdeprived- I have a ford falcon sedan with a gas tank in the boot and the Strider Plus still fits in perfectly. Just have to take the wheels off which is very simple. The mudguards also come off. I love how you can take both seats off and put everything in the boot seperately. Makes it much lighter to lift that way. The Strider i was told is 13 kg in weight. I would highly reccommend this pram. Hope this helps.
Thanks everyone!
I had a look at the Baby Jogger and was quite excited! I rang my local Baby store and was told as far as they know it is NOT being released in Australia as they don't think it meets Aust standards. It can be purchased online but obviously you cant try it out beforehand and there will be no warranty. I was on another forum doing research last night and read that apparently there is a prob with about 10% of the Strider Plus' and they may be recalled. Its only when you add in adaptors for extra seat space (?). Apparently you can purchase adaptors which lock into the stroller which gives a little more height and therefore space between the seats. One side apparently doesn't lock as it should. From what I read- if you take it back to place of purchase they should chase up Steelcraft and organize you a new stroller if yours is affected.
Going to go and have another play today I think..
The seat adapters came with ours automatically. Had a play around with them and they seem to be all good. Thanks for that info sleepdeprived!
I confess ladies... after being smitten with this pram, I'm now coveting another... the BabyJogger City Elite. I'm yet to try it in the flesh, but will do when I'm in Perth for my next scan (mid Jan) - will post my thoughs then.
