I have the plus 4 with the toddler seat, I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!
Brilliant pram for my 2.5 yo and my 5 month old!
Enjoy!
Im looking at buying a new pram. I currently have a Beema Q which I like but DS doesn't like facing away from me & its really low so im thinking as DS gets bigger im going to strain my back. I need something to go shopping with but I also walk a few days a week with friends, some of which is dirt road. Ive only got DS & aren't planning on trying again for another year or two at this stage.
So I can pick up a 2nd hand DLX for $180-250 approx. 12months old
OR
The new Strider Plus 3 or 4 for $520 inc post.
Those of you that have one of these prams, which would you recommend? Will the DLX be ok for my walks? Are there major differences between the DLX & Plus besides the capacity for 2nd seat?

I have the DLX- only fault is the wheels.
Mine are a bit out of shape AGAIN.
Good news is Britax will replace them for free :-)

Emma09 what do you mean the wheels are out of shape? they're solid arent they? If thats the case will it hold up to my walking a dirt track?
I just bought the Strider Plus 3 wheeler and looooove it! Another alternative if you haven't seen them already and aren't overly concerned about the option for a second seat is the Bootiq Kooper, I have one and absolutely adore it, looks gorgeous, bub can face you or away from you, comes with a bassinette, tyre pump etc included, much smoother ride than the Strider (which can get a bit bumpy on dirt/uneven ground) and is all round just a great pram, I have only bought the Strider as I have number 2 on the way and the Kooper doesn't have the option of a second seat, otherwise I most definitely would only have the Kooper.. They've discontinued them now, they were around $700 new and are quite rare to find but I have seen a couple of second hands around for about the $250 mark.. If you're keen at all, I am willing to take $150 for mine as it's just sitting here anyway! I don't really need to use the pram much these days until bub 2 arrives.. Could sort out postage/courier etc for a decent price, you're not too far away from me..
Anywhoo, didn't mean to try to sell you on something else! Just that the option is there if you haven't seen them before.. Otherwise, the Strider's are great, we love ours! Not sure about the DLX as I didn't look into them being that we needed the second seat..
Good luck!!
oooh another question....can you access the storage basket with the seat layed back fully? I have problems with this with my Beema.
Lol AliciaMrsH will read up on the other one you suggested thanks
I have a Strider 3 - absolutely love itThe only difference between the 3 & 4 is that on the 3 the lock for the front wheel (to stop it turning) is on the handle and on the 4 is by the wheels; and the basket access at thr front on the 3 is bigger.
You can access the basket from front back and both sides easily however the seat it. I've got a basinette on mine and it's fine.
Because the wheels are solid rather than types that pump up, it can be a bit bumpy. But you also don't have to worry about flat tyres. Mine handles long walks on fairly. Bumpy ground easily.
Good luck choosing!
