    Thanks

I did find I got a few false alarms once ds was rolling around to the edge of his cot, but i don't think you'll need to worry about that yet
ooh gosh I hope not yet! lol

Yep, that's exactly how it works. We've had only 2 false alarms, both times in the middle of the night when I'm fast asleep and so scared the crap out of me! DS was oblivious to it all both times and gave me a funny look when I picked him up out of the cot

The only thing that bugs me about mine is on occasion the parents unit makes a brief "shh" sound like white noise for about a second. I have no idea why but doesn't seem to affect anything about the monitor.

Oh, wait till you get that first false alarm when they're not quite on the sensor pads... so bloody scary. I shook DS thinking he wasn't breathing... and he just opened his eyes and gave me a dirty look (as dirty as a 3 week old can give).

A fan in the room or some other vibration can also stop the alarm from going off - so I found out when I forgot to turn the alarm off after getting DD out of bed and it was still happily silent when I went back to the room half an hour later Good idea to check the alarm WILL activate if on an there is no movement.
