what clothes do we REALLY need for a Newborn

Totally agree with Jords and her list But I'd say buy one or two 0000 JIC- my bubs was so tiny when he was born, 000 swamped him. A couple of little pairs of socks would go down nicely too. Don't worry about shorts and t shirts- the ride up and down and don't look comfy.

I'd also throw in a little hat for going out at night. But if you are having a shower, wait till after it to do your shopping so you know what you need.

For stuff you buy yourself, I reckon Bonds is the go- it is a little pricey compared to the cheap stuff but it's excellent quality and well worth the money.

Were probably not going to do a baby shower, maybe after its born, as I think some of my family will be visiting from interstate,or maybe we will do a family one. We don't really have friends we'd invite.

I thought I needed shirt and shirts at the beginning, something to do with the umbilical cord? IDK, maybe I made that up in my head. lol I tend to do that alot.

Bubs will be super comfy in jumpsuits hon. Shirts and shorts are actually a bit impractical for little bubbies as the shirts can ride up and if the material is stiff cotton (like a lot of shirts), they can be uncomfortable too. Jumpsuits are perfect. Soft, practical and snuggly.

if you want cheap blankets/wraps i used with my second ones polar fleece that I cut to the size i wanted, you dont even have to hem them. Worked well.

Just a quick word on the jumpsuits hun- try and get one that button up the front or have buttons on the side of the neck, rather than ones with a really wide neck, iykwim? The ones with a wide neck always go saggy and stretch too much and they end up not covering their chest properly.

Bond suits and lots of them k maybe 5-6.. I always find no matter what you buy they end up being in them alot in those first few weeks..

It is nice to have a couple nice things for them to wear if you are going out or showing them off for the first time.. but big thick jumpers ect are just plain painful

the Wraps from Target or Big W are great as are the small bunny rugs..

singlets are good but the best ones to get are the ones that button between the legs.. they don't ride up.. get a few of those.. they are great especially for winter..
