A second car seat
A toddler seat for the pram
Clothes (because I had a summer baby previously and B2 was a winter baby)
That's about it. I learnt after B1 that most of the stuff you buy isn't necessary.
I'm starting to make a list of things we will need to buy before we have DD2. I know we have ages still, but I want to get organized. So far I've thought of:
Big girl bed and accessories for DD
Another car seat
'skateboard' attachment for pram for DD
Stroller (for DD for longer outings when DH is also with us)
Many, many bibs (I'm expecting another reflux baby)
New slow flow teats for bottles for expressed milk
Dummies
New bath towels
Socks
That's all I've thought of for now. Given that it's another girl we have plenty of clothes. Is there anything else you brought for second (or more) babies?

I bought the baby a new car seat and a double pram. Apart from those I didn't buy much else, I used everything I already had that was usable.
2nd car seat
Slings, wraps, and other baby carriers (absolutely essential for babies with older siblings, in my opinion.)
more nappies to replace ones that got worn out with DS.
That's about it.
A sling?
At least I don't feel so much like I'm forgetting something then. I was worried my list was too small. Everything on there are things we no longer hav (Eg DD killed a few bottle teats).
A new house (honestly).
We need to replace the baby stuff we no longer have, so maybe a moses basket for newborn, cot for when Stormy's old enough to sleep in one, some new nappies (just 10, I promise!), baby car seat, some really pretty feeding underwear (I may be a different size and knowing how much a pretty bra means to me it's worth it), maybe a breast pump and bottles but that will wait until Stormy's here.
Most of the newborn-3m stuff was bought gender-neutral so clothes can wait if we need girly clothes. And TBH we have clothes so it will just be a top-up with the odd floral thing. Plus other people buy you lots of that sort of stuff.
Will not be buying a change table as the floor or bed is easier and safer. Maybe a change mat, think we no longer have one of those (Liebs was in nappies for over 3 years and his was pretty battered by the end).
Considering a cordened-off play area just so Stormy can escape Liebs if needed.
Car seat
Bassinet - not ready to move DD out of the cot and afraid of cosleeping not working again
A dozen extra Nappies because DD will probably still be in naps by then.
I remember feeling exactly the same when DS' arrival was imminent (of course I had to update some clothes as the sex/season and in the end size was different).
lol However with our little Miss DD2's arrival, we had to start all over again so everything is new for her - even the car.
A Close Carrier
An Ergo
A capsule as I never bothered with one for our first, and he was in his original car seat still anyway
New clothes as my first was a winter baby and our second was born in summer
Some more MCNs as I had two in nappies at that stage
Before he was born I got a new pram that the capsule could attach to and could also take a second seat for the two year old. Next to the carriers it was the best purchase we made.
As time has gone on we have bought a single bed for our eldest so we could swap bub over to the cot, we also upgraded his car seat when bub grew out of the capsule, so now bub is in the older convertible seat.
More terry flats and liners, inserts etc
Change table...didn't have one with DD and found we'd rather we did
Baby hammock
Chest of drawers
Summer clothes
Second highchair
Will get second carseat
Will get more wraps etc as all ours are suited to winter
Will get summer kit for pram
Baby swing
Will get big bed for DD
Will get skateboard for pram
Will get second baby monitor
That's about it. Some necessary, some not entirely.

We really only bought a few things
- Ergo - I also got the newborn insert. The toddler actually gets carried in it (on my back) more than the newborn at this stage and the baby stays in the pram, they both seem to prefer it that way, and I dont have to worry about losing DS if he's on my back
- We bought a capsule for the car (that actually fits our existing pram system), I figured it would be easier to keep the baby sleeping while moving in and out of the car and looking out for the toddler - its made life A LOT easier than trying to resettle the baby after waking them when getting out of the car seat.
- Clothes (we had a girl this time, but even if we'd had another boy I would have bought a few special items that we just for the new baby)
- I bought new bottles for EBM
- New spew rags (old style cloth nappies) as the others were washed out
- New Bibs (same)
For me it was everything as I have a huge gap between kids and had nothing from when DD was a baby
Travel system (capsule and pram)
Car seat (for when he outgrows capsule)
Cot
Cot mattress
Change table
Change table mattress
Bassinet
Chest of drawers
Baby monitor/breathing monitor
Bottle pack (steriliser, warmer, various sized bottles)
Nappy bag
Bibs
Wipes
Nappies
Towels
Flannels
Cot sheets
Bassinet sheets
Clothes
Bath
Various creams/body stuff
Cot mobile
Worn baskets for change table (to organise things)
Flannelette wraps
Muslim wraps
Baby carrier
Heater (Winter baby)
Belly cast kit (why not!)
That's all I can think of whilst looking around my room
nappies
sling
car seat
wraps (we gifted most away)
singlets
double pram
skateboard for single pram
nice breastfeeding bras and some nice BF tops...to spoil myself lol!
Two blankets, one for warmth, one for comfort.
A couple of outfits.
A car seat.
That was it. Anything else could wait until after she was born though TBH I can't for the life of me remember buying anything else. Oh, one thing, a high chair with wheels so that I could move her around more easily esp when trying to put DD2 to bed (only necessary as I have SPD and couldn't carry her for very long).
Our first was a boy and second a girl so mostly we just bought clothes.
When DS2 came along I had lent a heap of DS1 baby clothes out to a friend and some never came back (plus they were different seasons) So had to buy more boys stuff.
With each baby I've bough a special outfit just for them to come home from hospital.
Replaced worn and stained wraps and chuck rags.
With DS3 we bought a new pram (with tddler seat) as our old one was well used (and the dog chewed on part of the newborn insert cushion)
and the capsule that matches.
Bottles and teats
New breast pads (washable)
Our second child was another daughter but we weren't aware we were having another girl. Before she arrived we bought:
- a (Maxi Cosi) capsule. Didn't have one with DD1 and so wish we did!
- a new pram, the City Select so DD1 could still ride in the pram and we could connect the capsule at the same time.
- a bassinet. We borrowed our first one and it was tiny. DD2 was in our Boori bassinet for just over 4 months
- big girls bedroom suite for DD1
- a new monitor for DD1
- another sling
- summer neutral 0000 onesies as DD1 was a winter bub
I bought extra bibs and spew rags once DD2 arrived. DD1 wansn't a chucker at all so the supplies we had for her didn't cut it at all. You may get a non-chucker this time so I'd hold off on the bibs. They were a total waste with DD1.
