i just got a canvas top, should I get a fleece do you think? Yay that the red and grey looks good. I love the pink and sand combo, that pink is such a hot shade. I hope the baby is a girl so can get the hot pink!

I have the canvas, reason being I thought the fleece would be too hot in summer.

Apparently the fleece attracts dog and cat hair like a magnet. Go canvas! Pink and sand - how gorgeous!

and also i have heard from a couple of mummas with the fleece that it can be trickier to get out stains in the wash...

i also like the aesthetics of the canvas, just seems a bit less bulky than the fleece.

Ooh, I saw a chocolate topping with a sand base yesterday, utterly gorgeous and would suit a boy or a girl.

Canvas is great, I love it, but I also have a footmuff, which is fleecy on the inside, so it is really nice a cozy for cool nights and will be great for winter
    So Best of both worlds

We have the red with grey base, I lvoe the pink, but wanted something neutral for the next one

yeah, the frog was the first bugaboo. IMO it was also the nicest looking. the gecko came out afterwards and is a simpler version (i think they marketed it as the back to basics). i have the gecko and do love it.
the chameleon came out to be an improved version of the frog. this is in terms of the colours available and accessories. as for the performance having used both the chameleon and gecko they are all the same.
i love my gecko and would recommend it to anyone, but they no longer have here in oz as a real option. i had to buy mine from a store in europe, as we could only get chameleons at the time. so on that i guess it would be best to go a chameleon. unless of course you are planning on buying one secondhand or off ebay or something. then i would go for any. you can easily get all accessories for all models off many european websites sent direct to your door (this is what we do!).
however i have a feeling that the bugaboo carseat can only be put on the chameleon so if you are also going for that option then that is something to consider as well...ITH.

My issue with the Bugaboo is that the baby's hips and knees are always bent at 90 degrees... Did that affect anyone's decision to buy/not buy.. or is it just me?!

Nope, I didn't even think about it. I had my son in the bassinette for 4 months and for that whole while they lie flat which I think is good for their delicate spine. Other girls on here have their babies in the bassinette attachment for even longer than that.

PS - how does everyone clean their Bug? After a beach holiday it's looking kinda mingin'! I do have a custom made pram liner though which has helped a lot but the underside is

i'm afraid that i didnt really think about the angle thing. by the time you use the seat they are well and truly able to sit (leila was in the basinette until the recommended 6 months). she sleeps perfectly well in it and also the seat design was created with the help of a paediatrician osteopath (i think that was what the guy was...) so i dont think it is an issue in terms of development.

as for cleaning, rip it off the frame and chuck it straight into the wash machine. done ours a few times over (thanks to using it as a high chair at restaurants LOL!). we have washed all the fabric bits (just remember to take out the foam insert on the seat part). bit of nappysan and bob's your uncle.

Thanks Clare. Do you put the canvas part in the machine? I don't have any fleece part on my Bug.

yeah i only have the canvas and it goes all in. i just used a cold wash too...

BTW you can take out the little metal ring thing from the back of the seat (if you are washing the seat part)..you know the bit that clips the seat into the frame?...that's if the chameleon has that part...

    HTH!

Finally got my bugaboo together the other day ladies and I must say - I LOVE IT! I'm so glad that I pushed for this pram - Looks fantastic and was so easy to put together!!

We got the sand base as we don't know whether it's a boy or girl and I want it to be neutral for number 2. A friend of mine is due with number 3 and still with her original bugaboo. Just need the baby now!
