I'd say the earlier the better too. You hear of so many stories like Butterfly Warriors. It doesn't hurt anyone to be prepared but it can cause unnecessary stress if you're not prepared.
I'm 23 weeks and our nursery is practically finished, we have all of the big stuff for Tarko and most of the little stuff too (including a weeks worth of newborn nappies). I plan on having everything organised for Tarko well before 30 weeks (including the washing) so I can focus on other things I want to get done around the house before I become a mum (such as cleaning out the cupboards, sorting out my wardrobe and putting all our photos into albums). I'm a very organised person so I actually find being organised in advance very theraputic. Some friends are stunned at how 'early' I have everything sorted but I don't see what the fuss is about. It's not hurting anyone, it will only make my third trimerster so much more relaxing!
