AF is late so I thought I would test - I doubt I am pg but it is possible. (and would be bad timing so ...)
Anyway, I used the digital tests for the first time and got a "not pregnant" result as expected, however when I ejected the cartridge there was a faint second line. (it was straight away so not an evap and light blue)
Is this normal for these tests? or does it just mean there is some HCG, but not enough to make the digital test say "pregnant"?
it is usual, as it tests other hormones not just HCG...
it says on teh pamphlet do not read teh strip only the screen as you will get 2 lines 99% of teh tiume if pregnant or not
Generally it is advised to not read the cartridge of digital tests, as it is not meant for any interpritation. How far along do you think you could be, how many days past ovulation are you, or if you don't know when you ovulated, when was your last menstrual period? You might be testing to early for a digital test to pick up, so maybe try a normal pregnancy test. Either that or you are just not pregnant. Hope that helps.
ETA Just saw you said your af was late Do another test to be sure, but that was probably an accurate result if your period is late.
Af was due yesterday. I usually ovulate around CD 14 but have had the odd cycle which is different (shorter/longer by a day or so).
I kind of don't want to be pg at the moment - have just set up 4 years of a car lease which depends on me travelling 108 km for work everyday!
The test I did was this afternoon, I will test again in the morning with FMU unless AF turns up before then - could not find any ref to the blue lines on the packaging and knew someone here would know.
ETA thanks LJ! Nice to see you, how is married life/motherhood treating you?
Ok tested again this morning, still says Not Pregnant so I guess this is just a long cycle. Interestingly, the faint blue line was fainter this morning.
