Maybe hold out a little longer and test again in a week or so? But certainly I believe that false positives are less common than false negs. Hope this means good news for you, Blakesmummy!![]()
Hi,
I have done a HPT this am and it has a faint BFP at 8 days past "estimated" Ovulation.
Any expeience on how accurate these tests can be?
And what sensativity?
I dont want to get excited 4 nothing![]()

I think you're pregnant
At 8 dpo you would expect it to be very faint, very...very faint. Implantation only occurs 4-7dpo and then you allow another couple of days at least for the implanted embryo to start producing enough HCG to give you a positive test. It will start off faint and get darker over a week or so.
Actually I remember testing at 9dpo with my son and got a negative...kept testing because I knew I was pregnant and it took until 11dpo to get a very faint positive.
Confirm are quite reliable, I think they measure 25 miu.
Congratulations!
I have only ever had a positive with the confirm tests when I was pg and definately had no falso +ve's when I wasn't.. My test was pretty faint and I was 12DPO but implanted at 9DPO.. The tests are 25MIU I think... best of luck, not that I think you neeed it..
Sounds like your UTD!!! I have found confirm the best HPT's.
If confirm is the one with the pink top too it than i would say chances are you a PG!
i have found that Confirm is the best brand to use!
