So I do a HPT this morning and its a BFN. Then I go to the bin about 2 hours later and see it sitting on top - and there's a second line now. I am a seasoned POAS-er and know that its most probably an evap line. I KNOW this. But then the irrational voice in my head says 'it looks pink, not grey, maybe hcg levels are so low it took longer to show....?'

This has got to be the most agonising TWW ever. And I have a FS appointment to explore IUI tomorrow. What I wouldnt give to be able to call and cancel that appointment!!! It's going to be a long night.....

Frustrating indeed!!

I would keep your FS appointment tomorrow, if you are still unsure in the morning then the FS should be able to order a blood test for you and you will know for sure that way.

lol done that enough times!! Though my first BFP on 8DPO was like that.. looked at it almost 12 hours later and realised.. hay, something is there but assumed it was an evap line.

Not trying to get your hopes up ofcourse! Just praying like mad for you that its your month!!!! xx

Oh boy, that would really be hard not to keep thinking about. Will you try testing again. I really hope that it is a BFP for you. How long after you peed on the test did you throw it out?
Fingers crossed you will be cancelling that appointment real soon.

Kazzo: I will test again in the morning. I threw the test out after about 15 minutes and didnt look at it again. I will definitely be going to the FS appointment if its a BFN in the morning, it took months to get the appointment!

From now on all tests are going straight into the smelly council wheelie bin to avoid this nonsense!!!

yup, same happened to me, POAS, nothing, walked away, came back 4 hours later, 2 little pink lines!! craziest feeling after the initial disapointment.

im praying from the bottom of my heart those 2 pink lines are legit

Im getting a BT done this afternoon. I took another test this morning, looked at it after 3 minutes like the instructions said, BFN. Walked away, came back about 50 minutes later and now theres a faint shadowy line. Why does this keep happening to me????????????????? Grrr!!!

I got a massive pimple on my chin last night which has me convinced AF is on her way. The BT will only confirm that I can drown my sorrows in a few wines

I know its negative. Its just frustrating that it keeps teasing me like that, thats all.

Thanks Yas and MM Yeah I dont know whats up with my temps, although last cycle they stayed above the coverline when AF arrived so im not putting too much weight on what theyre doing at this point. On the upside, I'm going to watch my gorgeous 3yo DD at her ballet/ tap lesson today which a highlight of my week along with her swimming lesson

So now for things to get EXTRA annoying, I looked at a test from this morning about 10 minutes ago and there is a definite pink line there, if I had seen it this morning I would think it was a BFP. Arent evap lines always greyish, not pink????

I had a BT done about an hour ago, get the results tomorrow.

can you do another test? I have never got an evap line before, so i'm not sure, is it First response your using? I don't think they ever have evap lines?? I hope it's a BFP, BFP!!!!!! Gl soph....let us know, i have been stalking....... (omg that sounds so creepy ) xox

what tests are you using?? If its the internet cheapies, they took a looooooong time to come up for me. (remember my 12 hour one? lol).

Oooh, I am quietly excited for you! Same thing happened with my second preg. I got the feintest of feint second line when I looked at the test a few hours later. I then went and bought a First response test ( I can't remember if it was the same day or the next day) and it showed a feint but definite BFP straight away at about 8-9 DPO.

for your BT results tomorrow. If I was you, I'd be tempted to go get a First Response test if you haven't used that brand already
