    Where do I start?

    Hi everyone
We have been TTC for 3 months,

I have got a maybe baby microscope
    a thermometer
    "sperm safe" lubricant
    a husband

    what else do I need!???????

The only thing I haven't used is OPK's - yet.

But I feel like there is something I could be doing. We were sure this month we were going to concieve, but AF arrived 4 days early! my cycle seems to flip between 20-26 days averaging at 24 days. ( I used mymonthlycycles.com)

Should I add, that I havent really charted on fertilityfriend.com, I did for the first month and gave up - and decided to let nature take its course.

I find maybe baby exactly that - maybe its right, maybe its wrong, maybe it doesnt work, but I definetly wasted my money!

Are OPK's the way to go?

    Hi Krikit,

I was going to suggest FF but as I read further I saw that you had already tried it.

Do you know when you 'O'. If not then I would definately suggest OPK's. I have never used Maybe Baby but my sister did and didn't have much success. She switched to OPK's and got much better results straight away (BFP in a couple of months & she'd being TTC for 9 in total)

    Good luck to you.

I never used OPK's - couldn't see the point in them.

I used FF - took temp before getting out of bed & recorded my CM - that's it. It didn't interfere with anything & I soon worked out that I usually O'd on CD14 or 15. Once I knew that I just made sure we DTD around that time & until I saw a 3 day temp rise.

I was also able to predict two of my pregnancies by looking at FF - I had very high temps after O & had temp dips around when I would've expected implantation to happen. I felt confident both times that I would get a + HPT (even though I wasn't late for AF) & sure enough I did.

I used a MB many years ago when I was with my ex. I never got pregnant whilst using it so I don't think it helped predict O for me.

Hi there I would suggest just using what you have first, then maybe move on to OPKs later if you cant pinpoint O....see how it goes........ good luck on your journey.

Lots of sex helps. Even when you think you're not fertile - I was sure I wasn't at a fertile point the cycle I fell with DS. 8w into the cycle/pregnancy I thought I hadn't yet ovulated!

Go team shagging! Make me jealous! Every other day is best for conception, apparently. (Don't tell DH; I'm going to tell him twice a day LMAO - I'll tell him what a mistake I've made over it after a couple of months!)

    thanks!

I bought the forelife brand OPK's this month.. used all seven and couldn't see a colour change.

I have just bought the confirm brand OPK- to see if there is a change today.. but I am worried now that I may have ovulated (as I was supposed to "according to my cycle" ovulate yesterday) I have also noticed my cycle has been all over the place... usually its 24.. but this has been the pattern recently

    24 days
    26 days
    20!? days

I was saying to my husband, maybe we have been trying too early? therefore missing the "O" day.. I dunno about anyone else, but after a week of bd the last thing I think about is hopping back into the sack, much to hubby's disappointment - so we don't end up catching "O" with regular sex.

I am really hoping to fall this month

opks dont work for everyone, when i ovulate i only always ever get an almost positive. you have got to have sex at lest every 3 during your whole cycle! as for your period..... my periods are always regular.... 28days everytime no exeptions up untill we satrted ttc! we have been trying for 6 months and the stress its having on me and my body is mucking my periods around. now i could say try to relax and your period might settle down but yea that would be a waste of time and it will never happen because ttc is very stress full and hard to handle.... but basicly dont worry bout it just do your best to bd as much as you can and hope as goes well!

    Hi
I used OPK in combination with temping on FF and together i found worked ok as I found sometimes need to do multiple OPK tests on certain days to get a +
Only other thing I did was take elevit (or similar) for 3mo before TTC
    Good Luck
