Same Bek, I just hung out my washing and thought how lucky I am that I can be doing something so mundane at 9pm. Thinking of you Spring!

Janie - Thought the same thing cleaning up after dinner and putting the kids to bed. Certainly puts things into perspective (and you just reminded me I did NOT hang out my washing...)

Jayne - Will do. I'm sure one or more of us will txt you too. I've got your chinese number.

Stay safe Spring and what an awesome mummy you are for telling Ollie about the "rain party". I really hope you guys don't need to use the "cubby" either. I'll be thinking of you all night as I have been all day

    Xinnian Kuaile!!! (Happy New Year)

Seems odd to be saying Happy New Year in Feb??

Spring - I have been checking the news constantly & wondering about you. I really hope you're safe & prepared.

There are fireworks EVERYWHERE! Have been going all day long. Today is NYE - tomorrow the beginning of the Chinese Lunar Year. We have been down & let off 2 of our massive boxes, I have to admit, they were quite exciting. I had to bring Curly home as she was just about having a panic attack from the noise. So we have been watching from our windows. It's like having front row tickets for Australia Day. Only that all the displays are home done - not professional. A bit scary really.

I feel a bit stupid talking bout Chinese New Year when Spring is facing such danger, so sorry for being selfish - just wanted to lighten the load.

    xx

We're here. I'm not going to lie, it's terrifying, sounds
like a freight train is about to bust through our house. Thankfully both boys are asleep in the cubby and none the wiser.

We're doing ok. It's so scary though.

Spring More coming your way..I was so relieved when I saw your FB update pop up on my screen when I first logged on. I really do hope you are all ok and don't have too much damage to your house

Jayne HAPPY NEW YEAR to you I have to agree with you about the fireworks all being done by people at home lol..It reminded me of my 1st Christmas with DH and we were away in Hat Head and some of BIL's mates were there lighting crackers in the street and one of the crackers actually flew up one of the girls skirts..Luckily she jumped and it fell back to the ground before it went off cos I don't think that would have been a very pleasant sight to see..We can all laugh about it now but at the time it was a bit scary...

Spring has posted on FB this morning and they are ok. Not sure of the details yet but they have safely made it through the worst. And they are safe which is all that matters.

    hi guys

still crazy gusts here. We are ok. Our gutter and downpipes are strewn around the yard, there is a neighbours tramp in the round about in front of our house, out gate is busted open and the tennis courts across the road have cooped a lot of damage. It was scary between 8pm and 5am so a long sleepless night. Thankfully the kids are none the wiser and Ollie is currently pretending to be superman in front of an open window.

It was harrowing but we made it.

Not an experience I want to repeat.

Thank you all for you concern, prayers and candles.

    Spring
