Lee can you pm me your mobile # again & I will call you.
I will second that "call if you need anything" thing. I hate it too & I cringe when I hear it (aothough I know it's said with a beautiful intent)...
OMG my heart is breaking. Michelle please know that you and Greg and your gorgeous babies are in my thoughts. This is such a very cruel blow and no one deserves this to happen.
Deb please let Michelle know I'm thinking of her too. I was going to call but I think I might wait a couple of days
Spring Thanks for the call earlier and the text too. You are amazing
Willow and Freya PLEASE keep me in mind if you want help with anything. I'm only a couple of hours away so really not far at all. If you want me to throw in some money for food or whatever please let me know. Nothing is a problem
Lee I'm sending you an extra special hun. I can only imagine the feelings you are having at the moment too
OMG.. I just can't seem to process all this. Why is the world such a cruel place. I don't even know what to say but Michelle, I'm thinking of you constantly and wish there was something I could do. I have already shed so many tears for you this morning and can't even imagine what you're going through.
Massive hugs to everyone... but especially Michelle, we're all here with you, in whatever way we can be. I'm just heartbroken and absolutely shattered.
I keep looking at Sam and thinking Lily is the same age and now she has to grow up without her daddy - it's killing me inside!
I'm away for a few days, will be back in Sydney on Thursday at the latest. I'm also not much of a cook, but I'd like to do what I can... I just feel that maybe I'm not close enough and would seem like an intruder at this time.
I think I'll just watch quietly and see what I can do when we get home - not much I can do before then.
Mako - staying with my parents - just yell if you want to try to arrange a catch up while I'm up here.
Thanks girls, but seriously this does not need to be about me - I just want to be able to help Michelle when I can. I remember feeling like 'nobody understood how I was feeling' - the person who you turn too in times of stress, your partner, was the person I needed the most, but he was the one gone - it's just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard - here I am 8 years on nearly, and still suffering his loss on a daily basis. I remember a wise old man at the time said to me that loosing your partner/husband, it's like a bushfire has devastated your entire life, completely wiped it out - you have to rebuild everything, one blade of grass at a time. I know we have all in here suffered great losses with our precious babies, but the loss of a husband is the loss your life in so many ways - what I mean is everything changes, everything in your daily routine, down to the most minute detail (like DH used to clean the kids teeth, would read the dinosour book upside down at bedtime ) - it's all gone, and it's so hard and painful re-building.
I'm hoping I can help Michelle through my own experience, but I don't want it to be about me, thats all.
Re: Parenting after Miscarriage or Loss ~ March/April 2010
Thank you girls Your words mean so much. I am a shattered shell. Still disbelieving with my heart broken and my soul ripped out. We are in Orange still.
The world still turns and the children still play. I am placing one foot in front of the other. One second at a time. My other half has gone. I need to find an inner strength to raise three babies on my own. To live. But right now I merely exist. My world in pieces.
Michelle beautiful woman please know that we are all here for you and will remain by your side throughout this painful journey.
Greg was an amazing man. Today I find my mother and sister sheding tears for him. Not because they know him, but because I have spoken so fondly of you both and they know exactly how much you mean to me.
Holding your hand through this on the darkest days.
Michelle, I have been thinking of you non stop. I wish there was something that I could do for you.
I am just so moved by all of the support in this forum. You are all such fantastic friends.
Hi girls - another day dawns.......... the sun is shining in Hobart, but there was not much sleep here for thinking about Michelle and Greg and their family........... and as I wake today, I think of you Michelle, waking up to the horrible reality that yesterday served up so unexpectedly and so cruelly.
I had to go to a shopping centre the day after I lost my DH, and I remember I couldn't fathom how everyone was fine, and going about their business - while my world was shattered, couldn't they tell by the look on my face, by the great gaping hole in my chest? It so hard to go on Michelle, but your children will not let you completely fall apart, they will help hold you together, as I hope your friends and family will too. This is the time you must lean on others, you must.
Sigh, you are very much in my thoughts, and obviously in the hearts of so many people - none of this will bring your Greg back to you, but it will help hold you up, especially during this intensely shocking and painful time.
Re: Parenting after Miscarriage or Loss ~ March/April 2010
Lee - you are describing my reality perfectly. I slept badly. So did the babies. Oscar woke through the night calling out for daddy and sobbing. Lily woke this morning with her usual call for daddy too. It breaks my heart each and every time.
My sister is taking them out so I can try to get some decent sleep but the thoughts keep coming and so do the tears. I am broken. Living an existence I never imagined on Sunday. The pain hurts so much and I just want to be held in his arms again. I just want it to stop but I know it won't. This is my life now. The one without Greg. I have to keep going but everything just seems so very hard right now.
You will never truly comprehend how much your support means to me. Thank you.
Oh Michelle I haven't stopped thinking of you all night and all morning. I have imagined the children calling for their daddy and my heart breaks for them too. I am so very, very sorry
We are here, we will always be here.

Michelle: my heart is aching for you. I was up feeding Ben last night and found myself still awake an hour and a half later just thinking of you and Greg. I wish I could do more. I feel so helpless. What I can do is offer you my unwavering love and support.
