My husband started to get like this too (although he does work), but eventually i just had to give him the ultimatum (even though i didn't really mean it). I told him he had to start helping me with ds or he could pack his crap and leave cause it was like I was a single mum anyway.
It worked for me and I have trained dh nicely into a routine, without him even really reaslising it (it did take some time and some nagging). it was the only way I could do it because he just WOULD NOT listen to me when I was trying to ask him i needed help.
DP is pretty good on the housework front and really good on the cooking front BUT I do have to chuck tanties to get him to listen about other stuff. I'm naturally a very calm, mild-mannered person so when I chuck a tanty people take notice and it gets a MUCH quicker result with DP than days of gentle reminders. I don't particularly like doing it, but honestly, it just works and it works quickly.
Thanks everyone,
I have calmed down now..... well kind of
DH is usually pretty good but it's like he's gone on vacation over the last week... Hmmm hopefully the tanti I chucked last night will bring him back to reality. If not..... well... Hopefully I won't have to deal with that
Thanks for your replies..... sometimes it just helps to vent.
