    It's so good that you've got a good relationship with his mother!

    That's awful that he can't geth imself together enough just for a visit with his son. (Great name, btw - my little boy is called Tom ). Good for you for sticking up for the right thing to do, and for making sure your boy is safe. It's so hard having to watch your child do without a parent, though, isn't it?

    There are SO many Dads that dont deserve it, its just so lucky that our kids have us to love them forever x Good on you for putting your foot down

    um atcually no as i was Toms mum and dad for so long and now he has a step dad it is getting easier (but yes i hear you)

    That's so good that you look at it that way

    I was probably thinking more of my own situation - my two older girls have a different father to my other kids, and he's been a flake all their lives. Even though they've had a stepdad who adores them, it's been really hard to watch their disappointment when their bio-dad has let them down yet again.
