Have you thought about calling back the breeder. I am fairly certain (being a hopeful breeder of Old English Sheepdogs myself) that a breeder would want you to get back in contact with them. They usually have waiting lists if their dogs are sought after, and they would be able to re-home very quickly. Don't feel ashamed or embarassed about it. Sometimes things just don't work out the way we want them to. You would also know that a potential owner who has contacted a breeder has done their research into the breed and it wouldn't go to a home that didn't 'understand' Labradors IYKWIM.
