um, well this all seems easier said than done. The RSPCA dont do anything at night, and so we had to ring the council who will send someone out as long as the dog is contained. But whenever we try to go up to the dog its runs off, so not having much luck getting it even round the back of our house where its fenced let alone inside where its warm
Its too scared to come in and has now gotten frightened by someone else walkng their dog and run off. Its leg look hurt. I want to help it, but not sure we can do much.
We called the council when it happened to us, luckily the dog had tags, and it was from up the street. It was really well managed the daughter came to pick up the dog (their mother was on holidays and they were having reno's done and the builder had left the gate open!)
yeah for inner north contact the lort smith animal hospital. they are open til midnight. you can drop animals off to them at no charge whatsoever.
if the dog is still around this morning try and coax it with some food. it is no doubt very stressed and in pain and will need some gentle coaxing. call the lort smith as well and get advice and see if they can come by. I know that they do pick ups of dogs in our area (brunswick).
hope the poor wee thing is okay and has a nice family looking for it...
