    That's possible Sarah... I thought the same thing with my 2. One would go in the litter tray, and the other would go somewhere else... I just went and bought another tray, and I haven't had an issue since...

    I would be locking him in the laundry or bathroom while you are out and putting him in his tray to remind he to wee regularly while you are home.

    Sorry Sarah, missed this.

    My thoughts (without disregarding the previous posts.... so sorry if I repeat anything) are;

    * have the same amount of litter trays that you have cats, so maybe grab another litter tray?

    *sometimes kittens who come from large litters with one litter tray get very confused with TT. So you may want to put him somewhere like a laundry or toilet while you are out of the house with his litter tray for a few reasons, but one main one that he can't wee anywhere else! And another reason is that its very obvious to him.

    *stress causes inappropriate urination. So maybe he gets a bit stressed when you leave the house? Can you get an old T-shirt or something for him when you are out? There is an exxy product called "Feliway" that is feline phermones and designed to help cats settle down and not urinate inappropriately. It comes as a plug in... I often suggest it when introducing new cats to a household. It is amazing, it also comes in a spray though. If you could afford it, I would suggest spraying the place you want him to hang out when you are out... and after a week or two of being consistent you can start letting him out more when you aren't home.
