Gloria is our beloved Maltese/****zu cross. She was 1 in April. She is part of the family & thinks she is human...

Anyway she has had this little thing on her tail that she scratched a while back. It healed up without treatment & I assumed it was a flea or grass allergy that had irritated her.

Anyway I've been sick for the last few days with a tummy bug. I noticed Saturday night a nasty weepy patch on her lower tail again. So I put the Elizabethan collar on her, bathed it with some laavender oil.

I was really sick last night and today & this afternoon I had a look & it looks necrotic. I nearly flipped and we all piled into the car to the vet.

He thinks she's had it jammed somewhere & after she was sedated and we could shave it there is necrosis. I feel awful awful awful. I just burst into tears my poor Glorsy.

Anyway she is heere next to me sleeping. She's eaten & is on a/b's. If it hasn't improved by Wednesday she is going to have to have it amputated on Friday.

I really hope she's going to get better (her tail). Poor little sweetheart - she's such a beautiful girl - loves us and trusts us. I feel so bad I didn't realise how bad it was. All the fur she has it was so hard to see. She's eating, drinking, playing etc like normal...

Aaaarghh....
