doggies are sometimes too clever in hiding how serious their injuries might be! Don't feel bad, you took her to the vet as soon as you noticed it wasn't looking good. Fingers crossed she gets better and it doesn't have to be amputated.
You aren't nearly as bad as my brother who had to be persuaded by my mum to take one of his working dogs to the vet..she fell off the back of his ute and had a nasty wound on her leg and was limping badly. 2 days later he finally takes her to the vet and her pelvis was dislocatedpoor thing must have been in so much pain, but thankfully she is young and should heal ok.
