I have a Ragdoll Cat..she is 12yrs oldHad her from a kitten. I got her from a breeder around scoresby area I think.
Love her, she is great and this breed is long haired. The fur is like Rabbits Fur so it's supposed to be one of the most low allergenic long haired breeds for people with Cat Allergies.
My GF and other people I know have been our place who have had allergies and coped fine with her.
She is great with the kids and loves a cuddle. I brush her most days.
The one thing about the Ragdoll as they are best as indoor cats only. They are not a good breed at defending themselves so indoor is the way to go.
When I picked Anastasia from the litter the breeder also asked that she be an indoor cat only.
She does go limp, not really really floppy. She will happily sleep on her back with her feet spread and in the air. She also lays flat on the top of our couch. I can pick her up and turn her over to brush her tummy. They have a good tempererant and she coped very well when the kids came along. She is harnassed trained so I can put a harness on her and take her outside for a little bit, only in my backyard though.
Have a look at cat-world website.
I did pay $600 for her, and I would think you would have to put your name down with a breeder to get one.
She has had no medical problems and our trip to the vet is yearly for her vaccinations.
Love them![]()
