You could have a quiet word to your vet about the situation and ask if the vet minds advicing him that he should just accept the refund of payment as the puppy's condition isnt good.

I am sureif you explain to the vet that you have the dogs best interest they would go along with it as it is true that the pups best interests are with you

He is happy for me to look after him until he is better so i might in a week or so say he isnt getting better would you like a refund regardless of how the pup is healing. I dont think he'd take it tho unfortunately. Never know...fingers crossed!
