I have 2 active short haired border collies who are about 6 month old.
1 is in particular is very active, or maybe the right word is 'alert'. I have have working borders my whole life and understand their nature etc, but she doesn't seem to relax at all. Where as the boy will relax and be active on and off like a normal dog. My friend had heard food can make a difference with behaviour? I feed them roll meat, chicken and vege I think it is and then a scoop of Optimum puppy, which is food I have used to for all my dogs in the past.... but she has heard you should make a mix of rice, vegies and mince.... apparently some dogs can be funny with preservatives etc....
Does anyone on here know of a good recipe?? I thought I may as well give it a go to see how it goes and whether or not it makes her less stressed. It's funny because I am very careful with additives/preservatives with my daughter but have never considered it with my pups!!??
