Oh I just had another thought (actually, thanks AnnaChas for this thought) but some of the cinemas have 'babes in arms' showings on thursday mornings. Every now and then we could get out and see a film . It doesn't really matter if our bubs cry because that is what this session is for. It might be too expensive for everyone to do every week, but every now and then would be nice.
EDIT: Here is the website for the Breathing Space Cafe http://www.breathingspacecafe.com.au/
It is on the St Lucia side of the Indooroopilly train station, and there is plenty of parking.
I am in for Friday I wopuld love to do the movie thing too. I am happy to do coffee out of the house if it suits people too because it gets me away for me time
Hi Girls, Just wanted to jump in and add my 2c
I joined a mg through the local child health and even though the area isnt the best the mums were lovely and they have a "specialist" in different fields come each week for 6 weeks(dietician, dental, speech therapist) so even if you think it might not be great id still reccomend trying it as the worse thing that could happen is you dont enjoy it and dont go back.
Also we now meet up on our own(6 weeks have ended)if anyone is keen we are on southside near logan
Count me in too if that's ok! Friday sounds great and so do all the other ideas!
I know that there is also a baby/child friendly cafe at Newmarket if a change of venue and sides of town is needed. Unfortunately, our place is too small and parking is a bit of a hassle as well as we are in the city. Am willing to travel though!
I would love to join you all regularly too but I live at the Gold Coast Not many BB members are here on the Gold Coast!!
I'm lucky though in that I have found a mothers group on tues through the local child health clinic where we organise to meet for coffee every tues and the girls are lovely.
If I'm ever up in Brissy during the week visiting my Mum, can I join in?!?
Annachas - I'm meeting you on Saturday also as I'm catching up with Candice and Sara and Linda that day see you then!
