Which Mothers Group to go to?

Hi - our baby girl was born 1 1/2 weeks ago and we have just sold our house. This means a move to a suburb about 20-25 mins away in Jan or Feb. Do you think I should stay at the Mothers Group I will be allocated to in this area or request one in the area I am moving to?

Congratulations on you new baby! I would probably start going to the one in your new suburb, even if it means a bit of a trek for a few months. You will get to know them from the start rather than getting to know a group of gorgeous girls only to leave them and get to know the new group!
Good luck - we are moving in the next 12 months and I will have the same problem - only we still dont know where we will move!

I would go the the new area mums group. That way once u move u have some established friends as well.

That's funny 76stars - we live near Burwood and will be moving not sure where - possible Berwick area. I think I will start at new one cause it isn't that far anyway.

Aw i used to live in Berwick!!! I love it there..but not as much as Narre!!

I hated my mums group tho and never went back..LOL

hmmm I have heard that it can be a bit of luck with how it all goes - you either find some friends for life or you hate it. Hope it's the first one!

Hee hee - we are thinking Mornington - but my parents are in Kilsyth might be a bit far from the babysitter .... Im not looking forward to joining a new group - my group are all just so lovely!!
