my vote is to meet on the northside or centrally but I am willing to go southside if thats what is decided. Where would people be willing to meet: cafe? park? any other ideas?

I have only been to Westfield Belconnen so I'll get lost whereever we meet up.
I can probably only do weekends for the moment as I don't drive, but i can miss the first few and meet you all later down the track!
My prefrence is north side too, but can drive anywhere realy. Maybe kidcity or something like that for those of you with todlers (cost to get in), that way they can play and mums can relax more. And if it a weekday in school term not as busy.
Hey mummies - I am back to nearly reality with the school holidays nearly over - I thought I would have so much time - but surprisingly - it went quite fast.
My DD is in pre-school Thurs/Fri - so I think from gleaning the general responses Tuesday seems the go, I am northside too but don't mind the travel ..... as long as not this Tuesday I have 4 month immunisations, the rest of Feb I am in the clear so far
well I'll go out on a limb here and say, how about tuesday in a weeks time?? If most of us are northside, we could meet up in Belconnen, either at the kid's play area cafe (not sure what it's called - kidzone? something like that), at the library, or someplace else air conditioned is my thought.
I guess where we meet up will depend on how many of us have kids with us at the time. I will have my two with me. Mornings or midday are usually the best time for me.
What's the cost for kidszone? I will have both my kids with me 4 yr DD and 2 mth DS. Tuesday sounds good to me and i don't mind travelling as long as the cost of kidzone is not overly expensive............. what's at kidzone anyway is it like Kids City (mitchell) and Kids Rampage (tuggeranong)?
My baby girl turned 4 today i cannot believe where the time goes, she is 4 and heading off to preschool. The bad thing about her turning 4 is she has to have her 4 yr injections on Tuesday so not looking forward to that. My DS is having his injections tomorrow also not looking forward to that both DS and i are having our 6 weeks checks too (he is only like 2 mths now, but better late than never really)
Well look forward to meeting everyone next week 10th Feb.
I have a 2 month year old old. I live in Weston Creek but I am happy to travel to the north side. Like Tricky I have been in Canberra for 5 years and my friends are work related so I'm looking to make friends outside work. I'm 28 and also originally from Perth. is there still space for one more to join?

Of course! We are meeting around 9.30am at Belconnen Mall tomorrow near the kids play area that is temporarily in front of the Reject Shop lower level. We might have to adjourn to a cafe if we can't grab enough chairs
At-num - I have been here for just on 6 years and still don't know that many ppl same as you. Hope you can make it!
Having said that - I might have a glitch with tomorrow, but will try and rearrange - something on at school that we have had notice of only today ...
Oh, and tomorrow we should swap numbers cos we forgot last time .. just in case etc.

Lovelies - I am just not going to get there today - have a special assembly at DS1's school and he really wants me to go - talk about guilting me LOL. My calendar looks really free for the rest of this month (whereas April is crazy with easter adn school holidays) - so if anyone wants to catch up again say week 23/03 - let me know please!!!

Was wondering if I may join this group? I live in Queanbeyan and have been in Canberra for 4 years and have no family here either!! Have a small group of friends most of them are without childern so it would be lovely to meet some other mums as it can get a little lonely here!!! I have gorgeous boy AIden who is almost 18 months and I am 8.5 weeks pregnant! Look forward to chatting
