Hello! Welcome Kara! My name is Michelle, i am mum to 3! 2 girls, 9 and 4, and a cheeky little man who is 19mths.

We have had a really quiet christmas and New year also! I worked new years Day soo had an early one NYE! How times change after kiddies hey!

Sara - how can you lose you fdc spot? That doesn't sound fair? Do are you looking for another FDC or normal Daycare? I am thinking of putting my youngest in a day a week, but havent had much luck at the centres I want. Not urgent anyway I spose!!

Anyway, I have soooo much washing to do, but have been putting it off cause it is so hot!!!

Will have to try and organise a get together at some stage!!

    Hey girls!

I have a huge favour to ask of you all.

As Im sure most of you know Townsville now has an awesome new birth centre, which I will be delivering bub-to-be at in April. My midwife told me today that while interest in the BC is super big, they are having to add mums-to-be onto waiting lists and even DENYING some the ability to birth there because, after a promise of more midwives, Townsville Hospital STILL hasnt gotten around to starting the advertising process to find more midwives to cope with the demand. In the meantime, mothers like ourselves are having to reasses their birthing dreams because of lazy higher-ups

So thats where you all come in - it would be GREATLY appreciated, if you have a spare moment or two, if you could send an email or scribble off a letter voicing your concern over this to the Director of Nursing at TTH. If she gets enough letters of anger and concern then she may just get her finger out of her butt. Whats the point in building a $2million BC if a majority of women arent able to use it due to understaffing

    Thanks heaps ladies!

    Hi girls,

I've been under the radar of late, husband deployed so just been trucking along... Just wanted to say that Billy Lid's day care near KMart has vacancies at the moment.. Very clean and friendly staff.

    Hope that helps )

    Hi shell!!
I would love to catch up.. you give me the when and where!
I know, the rain sucks alot when u don't have a licence Though I get my P's in November.. so chin up! I hope we don't flood like Cairns. Nick is very sick of being stuck inside (watched toy story a million times), He keeps standing at the door looking very unhappy.. poor baby..

Oh is awful when they are stuck inside! We have a full length wrap around verandah so the kids can still go outside if they want to. Just not in yard - well we dont have one atm, we have a lake instead!! OK, cool, will have to think of when and where - obviously indoors as might be a bit risky with the rain!!

Ruby - I have a 7 seater with 5 anchor points. If you have a seat I can help keep you dry for a catch up!! I have to move Sarah's seat today, she wants to sit in the back row and it would make it easier for me to move her while DH is home and can distract them if needed.

I am up for a meet!! Going slightly nuts now anyway, Em has been harassing the cat, trying to pick her up. Thankfully no scratches yet but if she kepps annoying the cat I think it wont be long!!

Hi Ruby, They had a Monday in both the baby & toddler rooms... I would say give them a call and remind them your still waiting. They are lovely...

Thanks heaps, I will call them tomorrow!!
Its soo hard to get good child care, but I just worry coz Nick is getting very clingy. Today Tai was home (Dad), and when I went out to get the mail he stood at the door and howled even though his father was there, and the other day I was with a friend and arn into the shop to get something and when I came back out he was so hysterical that he was shaking. He really needs at least one day in day care to realise it is ok if Im not there and to play with other kids. I could have got him into Community Kids @ Pimilco but I didn't like the feel of it and with how upset his going to be on his first day I wanted him to be in a centre where I know someone will comfort him if he cries, or call me if he gets too upset!!
Now, I just have to work out how I will cope lol!!
