    Hi girls!

    I am flooded in too.

The rds are blocked at the Bohle on Herveys Range Rd and on Black River Rd. They are my only ways into town.

See how the rain goes tonight. If it doesnt rain that much the water will probably have run off by then.

I will post in the morning if I can make it or not.

In the interest of safety, with all the rain we've had overnight, I think it would all be best if we stayed safe and sound, tucked away at home. Esp. seeing Anna and Sara are unable to make it. What do you all think?

    Hi girls!

Sorry to say but we are not going to make it in today. The girls and I are sick with the flu and I hurt my back yesterday moving boxes.

Plus from what I've heard on the radio the roads are pretty bad with potholes. I really don't want to be driving around with the roads in the condition that they are.

    Sorry girls!

Hopefully I will get to say a proper goodbye before we leave....

Im still happy to come to the meet if others are going too, otherwise we can postpone it! Dh went to work so road conditions cant be mega bad and I have a 4x4.

ETA - My Dh just said its a disaster zone out there so I reckon we should postpone it til another day :c)

Hey girls its a shame use had to council ur meet today, but the roads are a disaster zone i had to drive my son and neighbours daughter to daycare today (near the strand) and it took me an hour from Rasmussen and i was crossing hot poles bigger then my car lmao the roads are literally falling apart!
The weather has gone funny again, rain has stopped my guess is the Low forming off Cairns is dragging all the weather into it to build strength! But i dont think the rain has gone!
    So how is everyone coping?

    Hey Girls!

So much for that little ray of sunshine yesterday, how humid was it!

The kids were so excited, they got to play outside on the trampoline for a while. DH has finally left for work today, have some peace and quiet while he is gone, he returns next tuesday.

How is everyone fairing? I am absolutely exhausted at trying to explain the bushfires on TV to my son. He understands fire is bad and can see the devistation - he is a very caring individual. But can't fathom 'why' it happens. Why would have to be my least favourite word right now. And it is not just that, everythign is why... I am starting to wonder if he will grow out of it.

I hope you are all well, and if you have family or freinds in Victoria, my heart and prayers are with you all.

Hey Ladies, how are we all doing? All is good here.
Isnt the fires devastating! And too think some little ***** out there may be getting there kicks out off it, its so sad! Every time i watch the news i feel so sick to see what these poor people have been through and still have to come. My heart surely bleeds for them!

Anyway, by the sounds off things were getting more rain starting around Thursday, just hope the poor buggers in Ingham can manage to get alot off cleaning done in these few days off sunshine!

Kirreia~ Ahh your going through the "why" stage too hey? Doesnt it drive you nuts! Try explaining to a 2.5yr old why its raining every 5 minues LoL drives me nuts why, why, why to everything!!

    Hi Gals!!
Just thought I would drop in and say a quick HI!!
We are down in Singleton NSW (My hometown) now, we got here about a week ago and Tai got a job basically straight away and started Monday, which was gr8!! We are happy enough down here so far, We're living with my best mate atm, shes a single girl with no kids so it was a big ask for her to take us on but she said yes straight away and has been gr8, a friend for life.
Nick is loving it here, alot of my school friends have kids his age so we've been out everyday and his had lots of kidlets to play with. Still miss T'ville though, we loved it there. Did the floods hit you guys very bad?? We were a bit worried because we still have our stuff in storage there!!
Well ladies, talk again soon xoxoxoxoxo

My kids are both going great, not really much to report!
Lucky we did not have too much flooding, but some suburbs did, not exactly sure were or to what extent but compared to Ingham we got off very lightly!

    Smile Hello Townsville Mums

    Hello Townsville Mums

My name is Sarah I'm 35 and I've 3 children Emily 3 and twin boys 14 months Thomas & Jake, we are currently in the UK but are hoping that we are moving to Townsville in July/August time, although my husband will be coming before Easter if he gets the job he is applying for, which is looking quite certain.

I was hoping that you'd be able to help me with any toddler groups, places to go, places to live, schools and anything else really, unfortunately I'm leaving behind a fantastic group of friends who I meet up with all the time and Emily has already started preschool here and we are really quite settled, so I'm quite worried about being by myself whilst my DH is out at work all day, so any info at all would be greatly appreciate.

    Thanks
    Sarah

Hello Sarah and welcome!! well it really depends if you prefer to live closer to the city..although its not that big..we have always lived in kirwan and find it fantastic, if you prefer to be just outside of town Bushland beach is another great area. I dont really know of any to avoid but I am sure some of the other girls will have more info..
Schools....well mine are not school age but again it depends on where you live as to where they can go as the schools are zoned.

There are plenty of registered playgroups through playgroups australia which you can look at on there website or then there are just mothers groups for catch ups at playcentres etc, which is what most of us do

Sorry i am not much more help.

    Hi Sarah!

I live just out of town in Bushland Beach, which is a lovely new estate, had no problems with being here! Its not that far to get into town, I do it often enough no worries As for playgroups etc, I just catch up with different friends here and there, and that makes us happy enough. I know a few groups you could go to, you'd always be more than welcome

If we're still here in July/August Id be more than happy to catch up with you! I will have a 3yo son, a 18mth old son (same age as your little boys as he's 14mths now!) and a few-months-old son.

    Im still here

My parents arrive on Friday morning for the weekend and are leaving on Monday morning. I so wish Mum would say that she wants to stay and help, but I kind of doubt it. She will be up in June for a while though, but DH will be home then too.
