I personally wouldn't be too fussed Anna - but then I like the smell of Dettol! Was it diluted? And was it there for long?

Apart from if you don't like the smell, the main problem would be if something in the dettol eroded the elastic or PUL...but I think it'd have to soak for ages for that to happen. Another problem could be build up, but since Dettol isn't really a soap, it's a disinfectant, I can't see what would build up.

So...if the Nelle prognosis is to be believed, your nappy should be fine! Can't guarantee the same for your nose if you don't like Dettol smell though!
