    When I was over the washing and decided to use pull ups again, I told them the the character (wiggles, lightening, whoever was there) on nappy doesn't really want to be wee'd on but would help in case you had an accident..

    It worked here knowing it was just a back up..

    Can you get a couple of Conni's or Kylie's? They are mats/bed pads that go on top of the bottom sheet. So they sleep on top of that. That way you don't have to change the whole bed, just wash and dry the Kylie or Conni and Pj's and put them straight back on the bed.

    You can also buy the disposable version from the supermarket.

    Stop calling them nappies.

    We had similar issues with DD1, started calling them her Night Time Knickers and she asked to wear them. Regression is normal. Emotional upset is a normal trigger for bedwetting. It is not a step backwards to let him wear them again and enable him to rebuild his confidence, which comes from waking in a dry bed everyday.
