I'm not sure exactly what you are worried about... What part of her eye do you see the shadow? Is it the scelra (white part)? If it is pink can indicate infection, yellow indicates liver problems, blue/grey is fine, you are just seeing the vascular structure underneath (blood supply), which is really common in Children.
A dark ring around your pupil, I was under the impression it was due to caffeine, but I can't find any proof of this atm, I'm still looking (don't know where I got the idea it was from caffeine from either)
Astigmatism is related to the cornea, aka the lens, which is on top of your pupil...if you look from the side it is the clean dome bit that sicks out the front (itms) the bit you put a contact lens onto. And just an extra tidbit, your cornea is the only part of the human body that does not have a blood supply. It gets oxygen directly from the air
Addit: pmsl, ok I found out the dark rings are called limbal rings, and I got the caffeine idea from my folks. I have really dark rings and apparently asked my parents about them one night, I must have sounded worried about them cause they told me it was from drinking too much caffeine, they only said that cause they were hoping I would then stop drinking coffee cause they were worried I was drinking too much...haha didn't work =p
