Laney- that all sounds normal to me- even normal to be scared coz you are feeling things differently. Sorry for my lack of remembering, but by any chance were all your other pregnancies girls? Maybe its another one of those left side right side things... you might be preg with a little girl- which will mean things will possibly differ from Grayson. But it doesnt mean that it will end badly, it just might be different.. Counting down to your scan!!!
Hang in there Laney...will be counting the days with you...all this thinking drives you mad hey! Being sick sounds good to me...hormones must be going up at a good rate...we're all here sending lots of sticky vibes your way!
AFM - Tired....sick....grumpy....emotional....can't stop thinking about Michelle...and driving myself mad worrying about bub2's arrival and leaving Miss A for at least 5 days...she will be with DH but what if she needs me and for the first time in her life I'm not there...I really need a drink lol!!!!
Thanks ellie and SB. I think that I just need to find something to worry about. I feel like it just isn't possible that everything can be going as well as it feels. I was already a worrier before we started TTC. Now I am the queen of all worriers.
SB, Parker (boy) Shelby (girl) I am keeping my fingers crossed for another girl. I guess if the pattern keeps up it will be a girl. I will be so happy if we can just have a healthy baby a boy or girl. I know that it would also be nice if Grayson had a brother to grow up with.
Ellie, sorry that it is so hard for you right now. Only a few more weeks and the real fun begins. If DH is watching DD then who will be helping you in hospital? I couldn't even get out of bed to change Grayson's nappy after my c-section. At least for the first 2 days. I can't even imagine leaving Grayson right now. I am going to try not to think that far ahead.
Bec, congratulations on the birth of Arabella, such a beautiful name! I hope you are both doing well.
Michelle, thinking of you hun.
Laney, I agree with the girls, all day sickness, although not great for you are great hormone signs. Here's to a great scan in the next week or so.
Ellie, I assume your DH will visit with DD everyday while your in hossy? Hopefully she finds it exciting to be visiting her new sibling. I hope you have got someone to help you in hossy. Not long for you now, your doing really well.
Beata, hope you and Cameron are doing well. Liam has started to get quite unsettled this week (wk 3) and I have been told that they go through a growth spurt at 3-wks and its quite normal, have you been experiencing this?
Ok, so I have a few minutes to finally reply to everyone!! I did the other day and lost the whole post, not happy Jan!
Teagz, can't believe you're thinking of no. 2 already! Ha ha. Last night I had my typical whinge about how I've had enough of the night feeds, how I just can't catch up on sleep during the day and how unfair it was that he will not help with the night feeds, and you know what the bugger said????? Well, are you ready for number 2 like you wanted a few months ago??? What a cheeky thing. I know he is happy with just this wee one, so he wanted to catch me out when I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed to say no way!! Well, I know I'll probably feel differently when I am able to sleep through most of the night! So glad Jackson is doing well, I've had a lookie on FB and he is so adorable hun!
Megan, wow, I can't believe your little ones have the same birthday!! That's so awesome hun! As for the 3 week growth spurt, I've been told there is one at 2 to 3 weeks, then at 6 weeks I think, and then at 9 or 12??? I forget what the MHCN said......yes, Cam was very unsettled when he hit the 2 week mark, fed every 2 hours.......hellooooooo! It was doing my head in. He is now back to feeding every 3.5, maybe 4 hours if I'm lucky. I did change his formula though....
Starbright, I'm glad you've had a good time in Canberra at the wedding
Laney, I'm glad you were able to tell some people about your pg. It always feels better when you're not keeping such a big secret! And I know about mothers... mine was also very insensitive when I was pg, especially with the m/s. She used to say, well when I was pg with you and your brother, I felt fantastic! Well helloooooo mum! You were 20 years old, I'm almost 40!!!! Sorry to hear your m/s is bad, I just survived on crackers, mineral water and some m/s vitamins which really helped heaps.
Mummyof4, hope you had a good go at the chockies at Easter! I did OK, not really had much, but yesterday I had this massive craving and ate 2 big chockie bunnies
Michelle, I hope you're travelling OK hun. I too can't stop thinking about you, such terrible thing to have happened hun. My heart goes out to you hun If you need to talk hun, we're always here for you .
Ellie, big hugs hun. Sorry to hear you're feeling so blaaaaah, I can imagine it all being a bit stressful with MissA needing her mum ATM! It will be all OK hun, it's probably a bit hard to imagine it now!
Berry1 - my GF's all say little tykes start to become unsettled from 3-6 weeks. Can't believe little Liam is already 3 weeks old!
Ellie - oh poor sweetie. Hang in there not long now..... My GF discharged herself from hospital after 1 night because she didn't want to leave her DD who was then aged btn 2 and 2 1/2. My other GF had to stay in for 5 days b/c she had a ceasar, and her DH and her parents took it in turns to bring their DD up. Her parents lived just around the corner from the hossy so it was very easy for them to pop in several times a day. It will be hard, but with some planning and support from DH and family and friends you'll get there. I am so excited for you!
Laney - I am not sure the worry ever ends, even once bubs is earthside and all grown up. The essence of motherhood in every aspect is worry. Sorry to hear you are so sick. I was fortunate not to get actual vomitting but had constant quite intense nausea for most of the time until about 11/12 weeks. I thought I was lucky. My niece vomitted several times a day every day up to the birth. Most people have some easing of their m/s after week 12, but not all. All I can say is hang in there. When you start to feel better you will worry, then be relieved you're feeling sick again. It's crazy, but normal.
Bubs will get everything they need from you. Just keep your fluids and electrolytes up and keep up with those bland carbs - try some potato crisps - I found they worked wonders for both pg and other nausea.
Have you tried Blackmores Morning Sickness formula - ginger and vit b12 or is b6? It really helped take the edge off for me. I still use it when the nausea returns.
I am new here, and was referred here by a friend in the late loss TTC thread. She forwarded me this link, how do I find it when just searching the forum stuff?
I am 5 weeks pregnant today. Waiting to get second HCG results, as a sign of something positive...
I had 2 miscarriages in 2009, at 19 weeks and 7 weeks.
Ker - welcome sweetie. I am sorry for your losses but am so excited for you - 5 weeks - awesome. I know its scary right now but have hope.
You find it by going to the forums heading/link at the top of the page, then miscarriage/loss heading, then pregnancy after stillbirth/late loss/ recurrent or whatever thread you want.
So sorry I have been so MIA … we have done the big move! Thank god for mums!! MY wonderful mummy came down to help and did 99% of the cleaning and organising on the packing end! I had lots of help too from my friends in Corryong- which made it all the sadder to leave knowing I was leaving such good people!! We got a big truck and moved it all in one go which was great! And we are all settled in the new house- well as settled as we can be- I still have lots of unpacking to do- and the house is bigger- so I am going to be checking out some garage sales for some extra furniture to help fill it up!!
On the baby front- all is looking great there, I am going to the antenatal clinic at Calvary Hospital- I saw the dr today- bubs is head down but not engaged yet. I did have a little scare with a really bad case of thrush a few weeks ago- but some antibiotics helped that and all is good now. I see the midwife in two weeks for my last anti-D injection, then the Dr again two weeks after that to book in for the csection!!
As for organising things here.. I got given a MASSIVE amount of girls clothes from a friend in Corryong- we were able to do a swap as I was having a girl and her a boy – and we were both calling it quits after this. She had two girls already though- and I thought I had done well by what I gave her- until I picked up what she had for me!!! My daughter will be dressed for YEARS to come!!! I just have to sort through it all!! It’s time to wash the newborn things, and I actually bought nappies the other day!! I had been pretty much putting off all organising until the move- and well the day I go here I went into “Baby is Coming over drive!!” My cousin is coming over tomorrow to help me set up the nursery (she will be in the bassinette in our room to start with though) and to help go through all the clothes!!
I am now on the look out for a playgroup- and I have found a thread here for a monthly meet up here in Canberra that’s happening next week I think- so that should be good!!
For now I have dinner cooking and Shane is watching some playschool- so I thought I better say hi!! Sorry no chance of personals today- I will try to get back into gear soon!!
KAM - I'm so glad the scan went well, that must have been magical seeing her kicking away! I know it sucks not being able to see into the future, but another positive scan is great news
StarBright - Happy Housewarming! Glad to hear that all is going great with bubs, not long now!
Dory - milestone day for you! Not sure exactly what it is, maybe a pregnancy PB?! Hopefully the next few months is full of more happy milestones!
Laney - yay for another great scan! I hope time races until June 14th and you can tick that one off as well.
AFM - just back from my dating scan and all good for now, little bean visible with a nice heartbeat of 150, phew! First bridge crossed, another 50 or so to go!
Hi all- still feeling a litte sore- so just a quickie to say thanks for all the congrats and there are some piccies in the gallery here of Lil Kaleisha Lee...
I will try to come back when i am a bit more with it- fo rnow belly rubs to all xoxoxoxox
Oh and a quick p.s........ I had a live baby with an anterior placenta!!! Woot woot!!!!
Just wanted to pop in and say hi and I'M BACK! For those who don't know me, I'm Jo and I lost my angel Luke in 2007 due to incompetent cervix. A preventative cerclage delivered our precious DD to us last April and I'll be having another cerclage placed at 14 weeks for this pregnancy.
I got a very much unexpected BFP on Saturday night so it was a bit of a shock but it was a good shock I had been having 38 day cycles but this one it looks like I ovulated on time and that was enough to do it... I think I am about 5 weeks at the moment.
Rang my ob today and have an appt in 3 weeks time but my GP has also given me a referral for a dating u/s if I want it. Am going to try and hold off and just wait to see my ob as I am trying to be relaxed this time around... if thats possible!
Have a killer cold & cough atm which seems to be how I begin every pg but hopefully that clears up soon. The nurse at my GP that took my blood today also butchered me and I can barely move my arm so all up I am feeling great! LOL
We haven't told anyone yet and will probably hold off for a few weeks until that 1st scan confirms it is all really happening.
Anyway, hi to all and I look forward to sharing the journey with you xx
